Just got 'em. They seem like they'll work OK. BUT...to open them you have to twist the two handles slightly. Once you do that the first time, you don't have to do it again. I like the red color...makes them stand out so I see 'em right away when needed.

Could not get the pliers apart. As previous posts have mentioned, they are stuck together with the rubber used on the finger holes. And talking about finger holes....you have to have fairly dainty wee fingers to comfortably use these. My fingers wont fit! Not made for guys. Waste of money.

The only reason I've purchased these is the pair I had that was 20+ years old has broke. I have used these every single time I have gone fishing. They're solid, work well with panfish and make sure the hook gets out completely without breaking the hook off.

Works as it should. Zero rust after a couple years of use. I like my fingers don’t slip off the grips even when wet but I do wish they were a touch bigger. I can barely get the tip of my thumb in the hole.

I love the look if you, like me ,looking for red hemostat ,good quality , a bit heavy to be used for fishing but you are not going to carry nor use it all day long so it’s fine , if you have big hands you might be disappointed but using just tip of your fingers would do the work unless you have extremely big hands 🙄For me I love it and 100% recommend it

Three locking stages. The tightest one is very tight and difficult to unlock. Good grip and work as you’d expect.

As someone with average male hands, I find that the finger holes are quite small making them awkward to use.

I have a longer pair of these as well (other brand and much more expensive) but I bought a couple of these to leave in our boats so I am never without. They are good quality and work very well. A little shorter than ideal (for hooks deep in a musky or big pike) but for 90% of fish these work fantastic! Clamp them on the hook shaft and you have a ton of leverage to remove difficult hooks.
