Great for skinning catfish and shark. I also used them to pull the hide on a pig I was dressing out. The wide mouth prevents the skin from shredding as with simple pliers and vice-grips. Also good for breaking sea-urchin shells into bowls so you can eat the meat right from the shell. The are very simple and heavy duty. I'll be putting some grip-tape on them later. That would be the only improvement I could recommend, unless the manufacture wants to make them a little more "duck-billed" and then add some friction lines to the tips. BUT these do work pretty darn good.

Does the trick. I've used other pliers like this and these have been the best. The rubber grip on them is what really makes these work so well. Catfish are so slippery, so having that grip makes all the difference.

These are hard to use and I was not able to remove the silver skin on the ribs I was preparing. I would have sent them back but the chrome plating came off when I washed them

I actually use it to grip the tendon when I’m removing the tendon from chicken tenderloins! The grip is great and it’s saved me time from cutting into the chicken.

These were half the price of actual membrane removers, so I thought I'd give it a try. They worked perfectly! Took the membrane right off the back of my pork ribs.
