I bought these over a year ago and they're still working great. They have not rusted and they're functioning is for exactly what they do. Hold fish and remove hooks. Great for my kayak.

Got the kit with the fish grabber and split ring pliers. Grabber seems like it will work but have yet to try it. Might be good for 2-5 lb blue fish or other small to medium sized toothy fish. The split ring pliers work ok but after changing out about 10 lures with new split rings and hooks the tip shows considerable wear. The splitter spike at the tip is on the small size, works fine for split rings up to about 10mm but then the tip is marginally big enough to open the split rings to get the hook on a lure without considerable fussing. Bigger than 10mm (3/8") and a lot of force is required. The tip wore quickly and may not be sharp enough any longer to open a very small split ring. Otherwise, the action and size of the pliers is good, the cutter sharp, the holster is beefy and the retracting lanyard is good. If the replacement jaws were available, this could be a lifetime tool but the splitter spike probably won't last more than a season or so.

The pliers were Great. Easy to manipulate and hold in my hand while holding a fish. Pouch holds the pliers securely. Lip gripper is easy to use and secures easily to fish. I would buy this set again.

The quality is pretty great for the price, love Ray they come on a leash so they don't get lost. Only thing I think would be helpful is if there was a way to use them to cut line easily.

The pliers I received cut braid and any fishing line with ease as they are super sharp and overall, well made.I just wish they had a latch to store the jaws in a closed position similar to garden secateurs. The fish lip grips are of compact size 220mm and will fit easily into any smaller tackle box.

Actual fish grip size is almost 2 inches shorter than advertised. The quality of the grip is so bad but the pliers is legite
