I researched like a madman for a high quality door handle set. I didn't expect this. I wanted powder coated hardware for durability versus painted hardware that will wear off over time. The seller responded quickly that these were indeed powder coated (Seller-you may want to update your description as this is important). I ordered all types- Dummy (Non moving for closet doors), Locking and non locking. When they arrived I could tell they were quality by the weight. I mean these are solid high quality metal that feels NICE. Typical German mentality and engineering. Well thought out and magnificently manufactured. These guys are not messing around. The packaging is top notch as well. Easily displayed manufactured in Berlin with concise and easy to comprehend instructions. No Chinglish and guessing how to install.I used a laser level for accurate handle height as others in the room. I also used a speed square to make certain the square handles were completely parallel to the door for a nice finished look. I don't understand how they are selling these as this cost. I suspect since it's a new product on Amazon, they are wanting to build up reviews then perhaps raise the price. Just a guess...I suggest grabbing these now prior to the price shooting up. I am. I am not being paid for this. I don't know the seller. I thought these were coming from China and am pleasantly surprised in every way!I hope you find this review useful.

Finish and feel is nice, the latching operation feels industrial and long lasting, but time will tell. Definitely more premium then my last kwik entry lock which new has that loose feeling in the doorknobs.

My son recently welded us a modern front gate for our southern exposure walled courtyard and we were looking for a more modern looking handle as opposed to standard and ugly gate hardware. We didn't need the locking feature (you can jump over the wall), but we weren't sure if the interior passage door handle would hold up to the elements outside. Compared to the big name brand handles, this is a cheaper and nicer choice. It feels very solid and heavy. It even came with a free stick on drywall protector plate.The installation was easy, although not traditional as we were working with metal and not a standard wood door. So the little anti-twist protrusions that would bite into the wood a bit had to be filed off. A quick coat of spray paint made the matte black match the dark walnut of our gate and house accents.Although it has only been installed a few weeks, I think the quality will definitely hold up. Happy with our purchase.

I purchased the Berlin Modisch Dummy Lever since it looks very similar to the Kwikset Halifax Door handle. The Berlin modisch is half the price and is a better quality than the Kwikset. The Berlin modisch is modern and sleek. I purchased these dummy door knobs for my closet and pantry. The door knobs are super easy to install. The only reason I gave the door knob 4 stars because the directions were a bit difficult to follow since it was for a different product but I was able figure it out. There are a lot of additional parts and screws provided. I’m not sure it’s purpose since the directions does not explain what it’s for, but, it’s seems to be holding up well. Overall, I highly recommend this product for the looks, quality, and the price.

I am a 72 yr., old 5 foot, 106 lb. great grandma. I have always been a D.I.Y. person, but size, age, and health have slowed me down and I figured adding a couple of rooms onto my home was a bit more of a challenge than I was up for so I hired a contractor to add a couple of rooms onto my single wide mobile home, (a 3 week job they said.) After 3 months they finally had the support pillars in and sub floor down and started on the framing. Then they told me it was taking longer then they planned so it would be almost double the labor they had quoted me. I let them go and hired another contractor to do the wiring and sheet rock. They insisted on working for an hourly wage and said the 4 of them would have the job done in under 2 weeks. Well, 10 weeks later I'd had enough, I sent them on their way and decided to complete the task myself. The moral of this story is, IF you want a job done to your specifications, D.I.Y. is often the best. After 9 months of construction I'm finally ready to add the finishing touches, like hardware and such. My new back door of now off the master bedroom so I wanted a very heavy duty lock system. After much research I came across The Berlin Modisch set. It is very well made, feels heavy and secure, and has a nice sleek appearance. I like the square look, gives it a modern look. Getting it in straight can be a bit of a challenge, but with a little patience you will be rewarded. It feels very solid and secure on my back door. I've purchased a second set to install on my patio door.

The price and quality is the same as any door handle from homedepot. The installation was pretty simple and it ist really stable and not wobbly at all. I really can recommend this and would buy them in the future.
