Update: String broke and bird blew away.Initial Review: The day I carried this down to my pier the small birds were chattering at me because they didn’t like it. The ducks have swam around my pier but stayed clear and check out the photo. The seagulls are thick on my neighbors’ boat lift canopies but mine is clear with no bird droppings!!Great flight action and durable in strong winds.

It did it's job by scaring the birds away from the pool where they were leaving bird poop all around the edge of the pool and surrounding areas making a mess in the Pool and keeping customers from swimming the bird's were using the pool as a water source and had been for year's fake owl's worked for a while but they caught on to them the hawk kit flapped around very life-like in the wind until a big storm blew it away but the bird's never really came back in a lot of NumbersThe size and life like appearance helped but the durability could be better

I thought this was going to be perfect when I put it up. The bird flew great. I have it attached to my dock to scare the birds away from the boat so they don't poop on it. After one weekend, and not that strong winds, the pole snapped in half and the bird went into the water lost forever. It looked fantastic when flying and I was really excited only to have my hopes dashed and the expense lost.

In Central Texas, these grackles gather in the yard in which I don't mind. But they like to get in my pool which is okay BUT THEY POOP WHILE BATHING UUUGGH!! The ultra sonic repeller, reflection strings and stationary owl didn't workBut the flying hawk is a game changer! Ive had it a month now and it works great because there's always a breeze in Texas. And that is what keeps my pool free from bird poop.

If you like figuring out how to assemble items with lots of parts and no guidance, then you will love this. There is a useless picture guide with vague instructions (Kits are supplied with line. Tie secure knots. Insert rods.) Hmmmm since I am not an engineer* this was not helpful. It comes with a link to a video that I kid you not, has the guy assembling it at warp speed. It's almost comical how fast it plays! So I just tied the bird on the sticks and I'm hoping for the best. There is a bag of unused parts leftover...who knows??? I have a pesky squirrel so I am hopeful that this will work. Hopefully the wind won't blow it away since It was assembled with hope and a prayer.* I am good at assembling things, even from Ikea!

It's effective, even if there is no wind to move the kite. It also has a residual effect. I took the kite down, due to a storm. The kite has been down for a week now, and the birds have yet to return. It's well made and I expect it to last years with proper care. (Don't leave it out on super windy days.)

It works well so far. Took it down for winter and to avoid the birds getting used to them. Will put it back as soon as see those doves taking a residence on the roofs.

À besoin de peu de vent pour prendre son envol.Seul point négatif c’est que la corde s’enroule autour de la perche.

The kite was easy to assemble. The pole however didn’t extend as per the instruction video. I spent the extra money for the pole only to discover it is in pieces and will not attach end to end or telescope as per the video. We had to tape the ends together, not sure how long the tape will hold. Not happy with the pole
