The rain barrel spigot kit worked perfectly for our rain barrel project. The two piece hole saw, spigot and instructions made this project a simple, 20 minute project. I highly recommend this product for product quality and ease of installation.

This fitting is made very well. The O ring is the proper size. The bulkhead that inserts from the inside of the tank is nice heavy brass. The 1/4 turn ball valve is easily turned on and off. Most important notes to add.... Drill the hole in the barrel with a hole saw. A hole saw has a center mandrel that will guide the saw thru the barrel without wobble. I also lightly sanded the newly cut hole edges, inside and out with 120grit sand paper. This removes burrs and helps promote a trouble free install. I also like this fitting because it has a 3/4" opening that quickens barrel drain time as opposed to only 1/2". I would buy this item again if I needed addional valves in the future.

Best packaging I've ever seen - assures that it gets to you secure & undamaged. Construction & finish are outstanding - valve opens/closes VERY easily. Installation-friendly Teflon tape and cord leave nothing to chance. (You get a LOT more tape than needed for this installation, even if you mess up a couple of times. So, you have Teflon tape ready for your next plumbing job.) Follow the instructions precisely and you'll have no leaks. Some reviews said that they had to use silicone sealant or additional gaskets but that seems to be an issue only if you have a curved, rough or irregular surface. Or, didn't follow the instructions. Great product and worth every penny. This kit will definitely outlive your rain barrel. I bought 2 valves and got free shipping. The products arrived on my doorstep, before noon on day 5, which I very much appreciated. Great service and value!

This spigot is exactly what was needed to transform 2 barrels into a rainwater collection system. Well made and seemingly durable. installation was easy, and unit works perfectly.

It's easy to install, but I would say the initial flange installation is way easier with two people. I used a 1-1/8" hole saw, then filed the hole for a tight fit. I also used some marine sealant I have to further seal up the flange area as I wanted to make sure I had no issues. It works great. The entire assembly is well built.

Good quality metal item, good instructions included the hole size (1&1/4â€) to drill in the barrel. Barrel adapter installed easily using the included string to slide the inside part down the string. The outer nut attached fine and I did not have to use a wrench on the outside nut to get it decently right. I used two smooth jaw adjustable pipe wrenches to attach the spigot to the barrel adapter so the adapter would not just spin in place in the barrel hole, and it was easy. No leaks from the barrel adapter in the barrel hole, but I do need to try again and use more white pipe tape this time to seal the spigot to the adapter as that part leaks (my fault I used too little pipe tape the first time). Highly recommended.
