A couple of the doorknobs in my apartment where finicky and I replaced them with these myself. I specifically went with the keyed version to keep anybody out of my closets and am quite happy with the upgrade. They where straightforward to install and I like the modern design and matte black finish. So far the finish seems strong and didn't get scratched during my installation so hopefully will hold up well.

Bought handle on special price for around $19. Arrived quickly. I was really amazed with quality of the handle. It felt solid and was! Night and day difference between this hardware and the usual. I only had to change the handle. Took old out and used just the inside and outside knob. No need to replace the door plug. Worked like a charm. Less than 5 minutes. You won't be disappointed IMO.

I wanted to add a lock to a closet I keep my work and financial files in since we use in-home pet sitters from time to time. I intended to buy dark bronze electronic Schlage push button locking handles as I have in the past (but moved), or, another brand, Kwikset, that offers the ability to customize your manual key. However, these appeared in my AMZ search and for the price point, these black handles pre-keyed versions were a steal! Easy to install and work flawlessly so far.
