FINALLY FOUND A METAL NO CRACK OR PLASTIC CONTANINANT -PRICE REASONABLE. GOES AS A PREFILTER TO MY RO SYSTEM FOR CLEANING TAP WATER INPUT. ALL THREE 1ST RO FILTERS ARE ALL NOW CARBON. CHANGE PREFILTER 6 MONTH AND ALL RO FILTERS YEARLY, OR MAYBE ONLY CARBON 3 IF TDS STAYS BELOW 20PPM. AMAZON HAS 5 FILTER PACKAGE INCLUDING RO FOR $40.RO SYSTEM ON AMAZON ABOUT $200. After 1 year of flawless operation the plastic pre and post filter housing in my Aquasauna whole house filter randomly started to leak. I bought 3 rounds of gaskets in an attempt to fix them - one from Aquasauna the others aftermarket. None of them worked. Guess what...Forums are full of complaints about Aquasauna filter housings randomly leaking.Save yourself the pain and pitch the plastic filter housings. These metal housings are a direct replacement. With the fittings used to couple 1" grey line on the existing system to the 3/4" outlet in the metal filter housing these fit in the existing gap without any need to modify the system. The wall anchor extends the counterpoint to the exact offset needed from the wall.Again...Don't rebuy the crap Aqusauna sells. Get these and you will thank yourself in the end.- Satisfied customer

I tried to respond to seller,no reply. Installed unit about 6 weeks after purchase. I had numerous pieces to get to gather for tankless hot water inlet installation. I got a leak from the canister to top connector. My brother and I worked to check flatness of the cannister, it was not. We emery clothed it flat and checked against a sheet of glass with a feeler gage. It has been a couple weeks and feel we might have the leak fixed?I also asked for either oring part number or replacement source for the oring. I got no reply, the ring in upper housing is a flat rubber ring not a oring. So based on my issue I would not purchase this unit. Quality is not there imo on this unit.

Strong and high-quality product. It's just a shame there's no hole for a key rod like the picture.
