This torch is just what I needed. It will work great heating coals for a japanese BBQ and equally well to brown the top of dishes.

Good torch, works well, easy to fill, lights easily. The only thing to worry about is that it does not fail safe. If you drop it, it is still blasting out a very hot flame. There ideally should be a trigger that, when released, stops the flow of butane. But alas, there is only the dial. But then some tools have an inherent danger to them if you're not careful. I'm careful with this. If you choose it, use caution that is appropriate with a very hot flame.

I bought the product and it was super dangerous, when we used it it caught fire and we almost ran out, I wanted to return it but my workers threw it away in fear

I’ve bought this twice now and I’m still impressed. It’s got so many uses and super easy to use. The only reason I bought another is because someone broke into my car and stole it. 100% recommend this out of sooooo many other torches

Wish it were easier to get the fuel into rather than making a mess all over. Used it for creme brulee.

Works very well but b careful apparently they have caused a lot of fires in our community according to the Vancouver Fire Dept.
