I always wanted one and choose this one, it is supposed to be for butter and cheese, I had a hard time using it on cheese and this morning I used it on a stick of butter and the wire separate pieces got tangled on the wire and came off the separator, it was the first one, the wires are very thin, I am keeping it, I think it works good but perhaps a more expensive one would be more efficient.

Just remember, DO NOT put in the dishwasher. I put the first one in the dishwasher and it got really yucky,so I bought another one.
