This pan is designed for electric water heaters with a recommended max diameter of 26-inches. It is 2 ½-inch deep, with a 32-inch (OD) and a 30-inch (ID). The pan includes a 1-inch/1 ½-inch PVC drain fitting with gasket and a pre-cut side opening for the drain fitting. It is black-colored and made from resilient plastic for superior strength and durability. Pre-formed cut lines make installation easy. This product meets the size and construction requirements of the International Residential Code (IRC 2801.6) and state building codes for use with electric water heaters. Color: graphite. I took a chance because the description just says the pan is “plastic†and some plastic can be brittle and break easily. Fortunately it turns out it is in fact polypropylene so it is somewhat flexible. Important that it’s flexible so that you can maneuver the water heater into it without breaking it. And so that if something bumps into it later it won’t easily break it rendering it useless. The product is fine. Should add “polypropylene†to the description.

I use them as drainage trays for my plants. Works pretty good. I still siphon out the last bit of water since it leaves about a quarter inch of water remaining in the tray. Whether your using it for a water heater or for plants its a good product the drain spout attached easily and the foam seal it comes with creates a leak proof seal so no leaks. Good buy saved me some money since i didnt have to spend more money on other drainage options which all were quite a bit more expensive.

I had to fit a hot water heater under some stairs while crushing this pan in the process. It popped right back up and it was a perfect fit.The fittings were as described 3/4" female PVC ready to go all worked well was very happy, would buy again.

Yeah, I bought the wrong thing, but for it's designed use, it's nearly perfect. I was going for 'off label' use.

First of all the specs do not say you can not use this for a gas water heater. When I received it the sticker on the front says only for electric.They don't have Prime so they can charge anything for return shipping. I was going to return it, but the only way to do so is to take to UPS and pay $41.00 for a $27.00 item.I would never order from Camco again.

I bought this to make a sensory table and it worked out great. It’s the perfect size and has a good size lip on the edge so stuff doesn’t easily get pushed off. I just put some tape over the drain hole in the side and glued it to an old ikea side table and it’s perfect. Way cheaper than spending $100+ on a tuff tray!

This is a great alternative to the “tuff trayâ€. Tons of visitors to my class have asked for the link. Seal up the hose connection spot and use it for liquid as well.

Finalement un modèle suffisamment gros pour mon chauffe-eau Rheem Marathon 50 Gallon (189L) afin de laisser un bon 2 pouces tout autour du diamètre du chauffe-eau afin de capter toutes fuites.
