These gelatin-sized papers are 50 percent cotton, and resistant to fading. The paper is dual-surfaced: one side with a heavy texture and the other with a lighter texture. Mi-Teintes is a light-fast paper that is colored at the pulp level. This pad is made with 24 sheets of 12 x 16 inch, acid free, 98 pound/160 gram paper.

This is excellent paper for the chalk-type pastels. The texture grabs the pastel, and it has a nice weight to it, also. It's not cheap paper, but the price is not unreasonable for the high quality of this art paper. I believe there are professionals who use this paper, so that's an indicator of the quality.

You can use either side of this paper depending on the medium you're working in. Back side or smoother side of the paper without the texture is very good for colored pencil.If you haven't tried doing colored pencil on tinted paper it's a lot of fun. You can use your lighter colored pencils to get some beautiful highlights, normally those pencils not showing up on white paper.Bundle of paper has options for different colors, get only grays, earth tones, or a mix of colors.

Awesome paper and great assorted colors. There is a smooth side and a rough side. The nice part is that you can put on a base smudge pastel stick for value color and then use a pencil for fine detail over that color. The tooth does hold the pastel well but I prefer the smooth side for fine detail. Wonderful paper! Enjoy!

I would recommend this paper for practice with pastels, but if you do commissions please skip it. Unless you’re digging into the paper, you’ll see all the pores from the paper itself. It’s supposed to “grab†the pastel but to me it did the opposite. I’d recommend almost smooth or sand paper like pastel paper over this.

This is pastel paper but I use it for graphite and pen and ink. It has a moderate tooth, nice texture. IT's fun to have an assortment of colors to consider when you're planning a project. This paper accepts a fair amount of layering for nice depth. It's a decent price, ships quickly, comes well packaged. A good buy.

Very nice paper to use, and a good value. I like the way it accepts chalk pastels and holds layers. And a nice color selection.

Excelente papel, por un lado tiene textura para medios como el pastel, y el carbón, y por el otro una textura media para lápiz de grafito, aunque desde mi gusto, utilizo la parte con mas textura, para ambos casos es un papel de excelente calidad, y me agrada que tenga muchos colores un solo bloque, ademas a un precio increible.
