If you're considering buying these, you probably already know they are the most lightfast watercolor pencils around. You may have seen unboxings, tutorials and reviews praising their smoothness along with their unique blending and layering capabilities. So, I'll go ahead and highlight something different that's left me absolutely mesmerized.This kit comes with two solluble graphite pencils as well as a superb selection of warm and cold grey shades. It may not seem like a big deal until you try it yourself. You can draw as you would with graphite and/or charcoal and then activate your drawing with a slightly wet brush to see just how intense and pigmented these pencils are too! This set gives you the interplay of force and nuance from black/grey shades along with the versatility of watercolor. I'm sure many artists will appreciate this.Needless to say, the colored pencils are rich and beautiful too. But that is to be expected. I'm just mindblown by the black, grey and graphite pencils (oh, the white pencil is amazing as well).These come really well packaged - each pencil comes in a protective foam slot. I had previously ordered a set of 120 Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer pencils but all of the tips were chipped and a couple arrived broken. I decided to send them back and spend a little more on these 76 Caran D'Ache watercolor pencils and could not be happier.

Wonderful to use. Brilliant colors. Create a wide range of values. Use good quality paper for best results. Caran d'Ache pencils are the best!

Yes, these are pricey, as are most professional grade colored pencils. They are worth it. I love the water blendability and the smooth application. I do use them sparingly, and for higher valued artwork. Over-all Caran d'Ache professional line pencils have been worth their money. Supra-color is a very close second to their Museum Aquarelles, and I can more afford larger sets, and variety of colors.

I like to do work from life while traveling. I am also trained to work with "classic" pigments and think about color in those terms. I have always struggled with color matching using my other watercolor and ink pencil sets. The color reference on the end wouldn't be accurate (or would be glossy so hard to see), the colors were all slightly "off" against the subject and I didn't have the tones needed to get them right, they wouldn't have enough of the standard pigments to mix in a way I have practiced, or they would look very different once wet. The set is incredibly thoughtfully designed and I can get exactly where I need to be in 2 pencils or less. The pigments are all familiar to me. I found that they work best when you add *all* the color you need before adding water (but without pressing down enough to bruise the paper). Don't be skimpy! Once wet, they work exactly like their watercolor counterparts. I'm so glad I bought these. I am blown away by the quality of colors and will never be without them.

Its true what they say. You get what you pay for. These watercolor pencils are very expensive but worth the money. They are bright and leave no streaks or pencil lines when they are activated. Best set of watercolors I ever purchased.

The BEST color pencils on the marketYou get what you pay forThese are in line with the Caran Dach Luminance as far as quality.They come in a sturdy cardboard box separated by black thick foam. This protects the pencils and keeps the tips from breaking.The pencils are like a dream- you don't need to use water for them to blend well. I prefer using water color pencils even when I'm not using water because I always have the option. I feel water color pencils have a creamier texture anyway. The colors are so vibrant. When you use a paint brush, the colors blend just like high quality water color paint and don't leave any pencil lines. There is not other comparison- these pencils are simply top of the line and the best on the market. You won't be disappointed. I like using these with Supracolors because there's more of a color variety.

Alucinantes, ya tenÃa los Supracolor desde pequeña y son un maravilla, pero estos creo se superan. Tiene muchos tonos distintos a supracolor, creo que vale la pena tener las dos colecciones si sois artistas.

Caran d'ache museum et le top pour des crayons de couleur et aquarellables. 76 crayons micibles avec une très belle palette de couleurs. Je les adore. Le prix est un peu cher je vous l'accorde mais la qualité est là . À l'intérieur il y a 2 crayons graphites en plus, un 3b et un 6b, un plus.... Livré avec un code pour plus de sécurité. Livré rapidement et très bien protégé. Pas de doublon, pas de mines cassées. Si vous le pouvez je vous les recommande, possibilité de payer en 4 fois, c'est pratique. Moi je les adore. Excellent !
