I had a ignition issue with the HEI that was in my 72 camaro. I knew it was distributor related. I tested several of the parts in it and they all tested good. So instead of wasting any more time on it I just ordered this one. It dropped right in and fired right up. Now I haven't driven it but a block since installing this one so I can't quite speak to actual performance or reliability but it does indeed work.

This seems to be a great HEI. Not sure of the longevity yet as I have used only this one for now. It runs great.

Does it work? Yes.HOWEVER if you run a dual carb high rise with a blower ontop it will not fit!!. But!, it fits perfect on my other 350 and runs amazing!. My own mistake for not thinking.
