Specifications& Scope of Application:

This container weights 2.2 lb (1000g) and suitable for a 7~9 inch pie crust.These pie weights can bake a perfect pie crust for classic apple pie, banana cream & chocolate cream pie, lemon meringue, strawberry rhubarb pie, banoffee pie and other pastry .

Tips:

If you find that the bottom of your blind-baked crust comes out a little soggy when using aluminum foil, try parchment paper instead.

Always remember to have a layer of foil or parchment paper between your crust and the weights, to stops them from sticking, makes removal more accessible, and prevents flavors or aromas from transferring to the crust.

Ensure that your pastry weights ceramic are evenly distributed over the crust surface and pushed out to the sides. Keeping the matters in an oven bag can make removal of them more accessible.

Commercial pie weights can be quite heavy, so adjust the number of matters you use accordingly. You may need two layers of dried beans.

Blind baking stones

The baking beans for pie crust must be cleaned by water in the First Use and need air drying.

Blind baking ceramic beads, the pie crust is lined with parchment paper and the blind baking beans go on top of the parchment, then the whole thing is baked. Make sure to spread the weights around so they're evenly distributed from the edge to the center and not all just piled in the center.

Baking Balls for Pie

Blind baking stones bake in a preheated oven at 480℉(250℃) until the edges of the crust are starting to brown, then remove the crust from the oven.

Remove the blind baking weights out of the pie, return the pie crust to the oven to let it crisp up and cook through.

Commercial pie weights

Cleaning and drying before storing. If the blind baking pie weights stick with oil, clean them well with detergent and dry them. Or the oil on the bead will be burnt, create smell and make the beads surface turn yellow and black.

used them before and they work but had to be real careful about removing them from the baked crust so I bought parchment for air-fryer to lift them out this time.These are smaller weights but more for the price . . .smaller is better for pie weights . . . these will replace the old ones as soon as Christmas is over . . . I will need 3 more.The container: Wheat . . . very good, hard to break . . . would have to really slam it on something hard, like concrete while full of the beads to break it! I have wheat bowls that are better than Corelle in my humble opinion.The beads: used for Christmas pie shells and poured all 2.2 lbs into a parchment lined 10 inch deep dish dish shell and they worked great and cleaned up great with soap and water, still WHITE. Buying 3 more because I usually bake 4 at a time for Holidays but hand was injured night before Thanksgiving so a little to crippled up; had to have a friend make my pie crusts for me. These ceramic beads work well. I have baked several crusts with them. The only disappointment I have is that the container is a bit too small for the quantity of beads. I have to shake it down to get all the beads in the box, and they still are above the top. I may store them in another container, which would solve this problem. I would buy these again.

The quality is great, performance was what I expected. I really only have two issues…1) When I opened the box they came in, they started spilling out. They literally fill the dome of the lid and you have to fight to get the lid to latch shut.2) It would be really nice if they came with a bag to wash them in.

I received this today and have already baked 4 pies that I was holding until this product arrived. I used the granite balls to keep my pie shells bubble free and fully shaped to my glass and ceramic baking shells. I have used dry beans, rice and aluminum foil to keep their shape when I pre-bake my pie shells before filling with fruits. I was Absolutely astounded with this product and if I could give 10 stars I would. Absolutely extraordinary and outstanding product. The convenient containers were also so helpful and you can tell someone in research and development has outdone themselves. Thank you for the quick delivery and very reasonable price.This product I give the best review I could and recommend this to everyone who bakes. A great addition to all kitchens.
