The crust could have been burnt more without but even with it still burns. Fits ok, I make it as tight as possible because it does expand in the oven.

My mom introduced me to these silicone borders and I love them. They have saved my pie crusts from burning. I bought them for multiple people as stocking stuffers. Very easy to clean and construct around the pie.

The shields would not stay on the edge of the pie crust. Using the adjustment slits were either too big and dropped off or too small and slipped up onto the top of the pie.
