I have been trying to improve my pie making skills over the past few Thanksgivings. I recently saw a post on reddit with a beautiful pie, and the person who posted it shared that they recommend using a metal pie plate to help the bottom pie cook better, preventing a soggy bottom crust. I made a pecan pie for Thanksgiving and a turkey pot pie a few days after Thanksgiving using this pie plate and they both cooked very well. I was able to lift the entire pie right out of the pan and the bottom crust was nicely browned on both pies. No more glass pie plates for me!

I purchased two of these, expecting a quality product. As shown in the photo - one arrived with two dents in it. As the other was fine, this was shipped damaged. Not good.
