  • Remove Stump Root: This copper nails help to remove trees, stumps and roots by releasing excessive copper ions to destroy tree growth.
  • Easy to Use: Because copper is a soft material, a drill is used to make holes in the roots, then the copper nails are hammered into the holes, and finally the nails are evenly driven around the base of the stump.

The principle behind the use of copper nails is that trees die due to reduced healing capacity and prolonged exposure to excessive copper ions from the inside.

These came inside a snap open translucent plastic storage case that was tape sealed. There were exactly 15 copper nails plus 1 drill bit & a brief instruction sheet inside the case. The illustration shows these being used on a sawed off tree trunk. Well, we drilled holes & then tapped in about 6 of these into a tree that will eventually destroy our driveway if we let it get bigger. This kit worked great. We’ll have to wait & see if the tree is affected. We have hopes it will die without us having to chainsaw it, before it gets bigger, then we can cut it at our leisure as it would be no threat to break up our driveway. This was worth a try, and I’d order it again.

We acquired these for off-purpose use, electrical and scientific projects for youth. They're wonderful for turning lemons into power cells, lots of fun!The nails certainly are soft; the set, case and provided drill bit are great, and you certainly would want to use the drill bit if inserting the nails into a tree stump.Reasonable price at ~$14 (time of writing).

BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this UCandy-15 pcs Copper Nails for Killing Trees Stump Root Slowly-3.15 inch.2. The current price of ~$ is reasonable.LIKES:- Pure copper. I'll wait around for these to work instead of using a toxic chemical poison any day of the week.- Nails are long for deep installation.- 15 is a decent number for a stump.DISLIKES:- Quite thin so not as strong as I would like. Requires some care when using.

These were easy enough to install, they included everything but the drill needed to install. Time will tell if they do their job, but I am hoping they work well to kill roots destroying my driveway. They do appear to be solid copper as they are soft metal and you really do need to pre-drill the holes before inserting them. Do not treat them like a regular nail or you will destroy them.

I drilled and nailed these into a couple of live Oaks that I would like to see dead. They were easy to install, and did not bend as easily as I thought they would. They've only been in for a couple of weeks, but the trees are showing signs of not being very happy.

We have used stump remover and other products in the past to deteriorate stumps. This solution seems a better method, if it works. We have placed these in problem roots and will test the method. You receive 15 nails and a drill bit to place the nails in the stump. It is too soon to tell if 100% but will update later as the nails have time to work. Much better and cheaper than a chemical method.

It's very scary to have a big tree near your home. Even if you want to cut it, it's very dangerous if the tree is tall enough to cause damage to your home, and can't be controlled. It's a hard problem, and hiring people to cut it can be astronomical in costs, especially if they need to bring a car in. This is a very simple way to do it yourself, in a slower, more natural way. Copper kills trees, so driving several of these in prevents the tree from growing. And will eventually kill it. Suddenly killing the tree is also dangerous, but this gently dries it to death over time, so leads to a harder shell. You can buy time to cut the tree down over years. It's a good method. I don't know if this works yet, as killing the tree will take months. But I feel better having driven these into the problem tree. And if you've cut a stubborn tree or bush, it can regrow. So, if you have a zombie stump, drill a little hole and drive one or a few of these in and you'll be free of troubles. This is a good solution all around.
