Having purchased several items from Craft Wok already (i.e., a 16" carbon steel wok, and two extra-long stainless steel utensils) and being very satisfied with the high quality of those items, I opted to add the stainless steel fry basket. It will help remove larger quantities of fried foods at once, and allow me to set the basket on top of a large stainless steel bowl to drain the oil from the food, then return it back to the wok. It rests well on the bowl adjacent to the wok. I normally prepare a double batch of recipes, so this will work better than the smaller utensil I had previously used to remove fried food from the wok.

Have always used these as kitty litter scoops, as they are far more quick and efficient than anything sold under that name. This model is even better/bigger than a similar one I picked up several years ago.

The bits of metal stick out on the edges, ruined a sponge, a brush, and a dishrag trying to clean after straining out pasta. Worked ok for JUST fried foods, but still such a pain to clean.

I’m very please with it. It was just a little larger than I thought it would be. But I will deal with it. The price was right the stores want almost twice that amount for it.
