I needed to replace the OEM plug on my 15 Silverado. All of the colors matched except for two. Plenty of wire to make install easy. The wire gauge on the truck and the Curt 56229 were different size. The Curt is a larger gauge wire.

Install was as you'd expect. My 05 Silverado plug was jacked up so I ordered this and threw it on there. It fits snug and seems like it will hold up. Its been on there a month with lots of rain and no issues. Honestly if anything were to go wrong with this anytime soon it would probably just be my connections lol.

We use these for installing the 7+4way trailer plugs in multiple commercial & retail applications. Fits great with the HOPKINS 40975 trailer plug.

This seems to be a well made harness with adequate wire size and complete set of crimp style connectors and heat shrink tubing to seal up the splices. The first thing I noticed was the connector end had "Adelphi" on the part, so we know who actually made it. The crimp on crimp on connectors were uninsulated sleeves which crimped securely onto the wires. They were all the same size and would not fit over all the strands for the ground wire which is a larger wire size than the others. I had to cut off some of the strands of the ground wire to make it work. The other minor item was the heat shrink tubing for sealing the splices was relatively large compared to the wire and crimp connector size making it right at the lower limit to shrink the sleeve. I had some other heat shrink, 3/16" diameter, that I used.

This harness was not a wire-for-wire color match to my GMC truck, but it was easy enough to clip the wires on the old harness and compare them to the new harness, matching up the colors by their position in the back. Simply make sure the wires from the new harness are butt spliced to the truck wires according to the corresponding position in the old harness, rather than by color alone. What I did was to compare the two and use a piece of tape to label the harness wires that needed to be spliced to different color wires on the truck. I use marine-style butt splices because I prefer them, but the kit comes with adequate crimp connections. If you use those, slide the shrink tube on first before crimping the wires together. Then use a heat gun or a lighter to shrink the tube to make the connection watertight. I wrapped the wires from one end to the other with electrical tape to make it easier to keep them neat.

The plug fit my 2020 ford F150, and the wire color coding was an exact match, I'm very happy with the product.

Bought it to replace the jeeps plug. Pretty simple install as it came with everything. Needed a bracket as mine was fubar. Lots of wire to make mistakes with. Ask me how i know. Haha.Heat shrink, then crimp connect wire. Haha

Quality was as expected from Curt. Wire colors/ Pinout on instruction page included in package. Wires are pre-stripped with the plastic left on the tips, which are easily pulled off, allowing for quick, easy splices. Butt splices, heat shrink and zip ties are included, though I chose to use great shrink solder seal connectors for no particular reason.Fit perfectly into Curt 57020
