I have not used the grit yet, but I've been polishing rocks for years and this grit was a good price and how different could grit be? It comes in sturdy little containers so that you can use what you need and close the lid and not worry about spillage. My first shipment never arrived so they very kindly notified me first of a delay then when it never arrived, they again very kindly asked if I wanted a refund or another shipment. I liked that fact that this is an American small company so I asked for a re-order. I'm sure I will not be disappointed.

Using this product for rock tumbling/polishing. Husband loves polishing rocks, and making jewelry. He is very pleased with this product and will continue to purchase it

Ok... so this tumbled my stones perfectly for the most part. The instructions are clear and very easy to follow if you don't know what you're doing. The only issue I had was with step 4 when it's supposed to polish your stones. It didn't. My stones only look shiny and bright when they are wet. It did say in the instructions that if they turn out like that to tumble them with Ivory bar soap. I haven't done that yet, but I do plan to. I just think that that shouldn't have to happen. It should work without having to use anything else.

I didn't check the weights when I received the product, but I certainly should have. I believe a couple of the grits were shy of the intended amount. The grits did seem to work well, but the polish leaves a lot to be desired. I let my stones run in the final step for 10 days, and there simply is no luster, even after applying a 2 hour burnishing step with shaved Ivory soap. I've reloaded my barrel and will attempt another 10 day cycle. I'll also be ordering some true 8000 or 14000 polish, as most pro tumblers tend to agree that this 1200 polish shouldn't be classified as polish at all. Live and learn. I should have performed more research on the front end and am now paying the consequences.

Great instructions and the grits are good variance. Was able to get some rocks off the side of the road and gravel trails that polished up very nicely and are very beautiful. Just shine them up at the end with mineral oil.

Have used this for several rocks. The process takes time, enjoy seeing the result after each step is completed.

I like that there is a lot of each grit. I wish that it didn’t include the plastic pellets, and instead had more of the level 4 polishing compound. It works as advertised, and kept my tumbler working on constantly for months. They are easy to use and clear on how to use them. The packaging is sturdy and looks great. Good value.

I liked the addition of plastic packing beads to increase the polishing effect.

We recently started using the Rock Tumbler Grit Refill Kit in our workshop, and it has been fantastic. This 3.5-pound kit, complete with grits media and poly plastic pellets, is perfect for our rock polishing projects. It works seamlessly with our rock tumbler, helping us achieve beautifully polished stones every time. The different grit stages included ensure that our stones are polished to perfection, whether we're working with jewelry pieces or decorative items. This refill kit has made our rock tumbling process much more efficient and effective. Highly recommend for anyone needing reliable polishing refills for their tumbler!
