  • 【Heating Cable Structure】:1. Copper conductor,2. Conductive heating element,3. PE outer sheath
  • 【Pre-assembled】:Pre-assembled, Easy to install and use. 12-14 Volts, 15 Watts / M at 10 C degrees. Energy efficient.
  • 【20Cm cold conductor】:Heat shrink tubing for joining applications. The temperature-resistant resistance wire is surrounded by a high-quality protective insulation.
  • 【Self-regulating】:The cable is a self-limiting heating cable, Ideal for freeze protection and low temperature process maintenance such as your RV's fresh water supply tubing in need of heat protection, the smaller volume of fluids within these lines are normally the first to freeze up.
  • 【Heat preservation】:If you elect to take it a step further, wrapping the tubing in foil (sold separately) or insulating the tubing and cable with something like pipe wrap insulation will allow operation in even lower temperatures.

About this item

This cable is a great remedy for those longer runs that are exposed to the cold.

Just securely zip-tie the cable along the length of the tubing ensuring the entire length of tubing along with all fittings and connectors are in direct contact with the cable to prevent freezing.

Easy Installation

2-Wires Design without plug - Convenience for fixed place installation. Just wire this pad to 12Volt DC power supply and RV power switch.

3

Self-regulating

The cable can self regulate the output power according to the temperature, it won't overheat, so the temperature controller is not necessary.

5

Structure

The cable is with high quality PE jacket, and inner has the PE composite insulation layer, better water-proof and good quality.

7

DC12V

cable can be used for other heating applications with low voltage DC power supply.

Used this past winter at -16 below weather. Currently on clothes washer lines in an RV. Activate when temperatures drop and off when not required.

Used this 6ft heat cable to wrap around an external water pipe for freeze protection. I use a 100 ah 12v battery and the cable heats up to about 100 degrees, warm to the touch. Have it set on a thermostat. It is sturdy, easy to install, flexible, semi-rigid. One black and one red lead pre-stripped. A good product for pipes subject to freezing teperatures.

I'm a full time RVer. This has been a pipe saver during the cold winter months! We have this, the shorter one, and flat tank warming pads all working together.

I bought this to use as a "dew heater" for my C11 telescope. It's about the perfect length and has plenty of wattage to do the job.My telescope is wrapped in Reflectix insulation to eliminate the wait for cooldown and I just tucked this heater strip underneath the Reflectix at the front corrector cell.I power this heat strip from one of the DC output connectors on my ZWO ASIair Pro device and configure that connector as "Dew heater". In this mode it has PWM control and I can set the heat percentage as needed depending on the night temperature and humidity. It's super cost effective and works well!

I installed this in a Sprinter RV conversion on a water line that is against an exterior wall behind cabinetry so little interior heat gets to the area. In extreme sub-freezing temps the water lines freeze even though the interior is comfortably warm. The heat tape produces plenty of warmth to keep the water lines above freezing and actually keeps the whole area behind the cabinet warm. However, it does not actually regulate it's temperature as implied. It stays hot all the time, never reducing it's heat output even though the area is warm. Even when I turn it on during a 90 degree day so the area is already very warm, it still draws full power. A 16.5 foot (5 meter) heat tape always draws 115 W. That's 23 W/m, 50% more power than the specified 15 W/m. It heats, but does not perform as specified in self regulating or power draw.

Used the heat tape to protect a sprinkler manifold. It works well.

Got 2 of the 1 meter lengths for my 20' camping trailer - one for the supply hose running from the fresh tank through the floor up to the pump, and one for the 3" black dump valve / 2" grey valve combined outlets. Burned them in on the bench for 8 hours total prior to installing them, and found that after a while one of them would draw enough current to blow a 2 amp fuse. Then ran both for extended periods on a 10 amp fuse ok. Temps were evenly spread along the lengths - generally 100-110 F, dipping down into the 90's (while cycled down between heat cycles?). The supply wires stayed at the ambient air temp. They look like quality items - beefy and water tight - hoping they last.

It doesn’t have heat constriction. Wouldn’t work in my application
