I ordered this in Dec 2023. There were some issues with the shipping (FedEx's fault, not Detroit Axle). I was able to cancel the original order and reorder it without problems. When it arrived the shipping box and the part box were both beat up pretty bad and the steering box had been knocked hard enough to break one of the seals and it was leaking. The steering box is heavy (32 lbs) and should be shipped in more robust packaging. FedEx could probably be more gentle with the boxes as well. I engaged their customer support, RMA'd the same day and a new one was shipped out. Every step of the way their customer support was fantastic. I felt really well taken care of. Replacement arrived and was installed the next day. As for the quality of the part...Visually it is identical to the OEM steering box. Ports, shafts, and threaded holes lined up perfectly. Installation was relatively quick. The difference in steering was amazing. For future projects on this truck I will be ordering the parts I need from Detroit Axle and I would recommend them for anyone looking for quality parts. Don't let FedEx shipping taint your view of their parts.

This product was only cleaned up and made to look new, but not rebuilt/remanned. Was very loose. Had to go to another source and purchase. Would not recommend.

DA- try to work on delivery time. My product came late for repair. I settled for less an it failed. Even though it came late. I loved the time you spent securing it for delivery. No leaks, clean, and 5 star packing , and handling. Shipping got 4 star

Purchased for a 1998 Ram 1500 4x4. Installed fine but defective. At first working with Detroit Axle seemed promising. They replied to me almost immediately and I was assured they would take care of me. When I submitted my information I was told "Please contact us direct at 248-543-XXXX From 8am to 6pm Eastern Time and we can walk you through the warranty exchange process." Now I am very concerned i'm going to get the run around. This shouldnt be considered a "warranty exchange" they sent me a non-functioning product and now my truck is stuck and at the mechanic and he cant simply remove this and send it back waiting for a new one in a week or whatever they try to pull. Once he pulls this out, the truck cannot drive. Already had to pay my mechanic to install this once, now I have to do it again. As soon as I requested they ship me a functional one (at which point I will install and send the defective one back) now I dont hear back from them at all. Seems a bit sketchy but I will update once they finally get back to me.
