These files are the perfect size, I liked the idea of such a wide range in coarseness--problem is that the files matt up with the removed material, this is difficult to clean with two different types of brushes, the Biggest Problem is that even the coarsest of the files don't have much diamond to remove what I am trying to remove. Save your money and decrease your frustrations, pick another brand.

Worked well for my specific use, for fine delicate work.. It would have been appreciated to have the grit sizes on the packaging.

Great set of files for hobbyists of all types. Being diamond coated and a very high grit, I wouldn't recommend them for use with metal or wood ininitially.I used them for plastics, and used another high grit file, and used these to finish it off stepping into a higher grit. The file grooves do fill up pretty quickly working with plastics, but cleaning is easy. I use an ultrasonic cleaner which removes all debris while keeping edges sharp. Warm water and a stiff nylon/tooth brush will do fine, brake cleaner for slight rust or for stubborn cleaning. Always rinse and use the highest content isopropyl alcohol you can find to pour over it to dry and remove any water to avoid rust.

Seems to be working fine for sharpening hand tools and pruners.

The files are too flexible and the abrasive doesn't seem to cut very much.

Just be aware that a real file removes material uniformly (like a wood plane), these have hard projections randomly bonded to the surface of the file so they dig scratches to remove material so the cut is not as uniform (Like with a wood rasp)
