I like that this caliper is accurate, which is its most important job. It also seems well built and has a nice appearance. The screen is easy to read and reads out in metric or imperial units as expected. The caliper also comes with a plastic carrying case and an inspection certificate, which is a nice touch.However, there are a couple of things I think make it less than perfect. To me it feels just a bit too heavy. Maybe that's just because I'm used to a different caliper that is lighter. I suppose it claims to be all metal, and perhaps that's where the weight is coming from. The other thing I don't like is the battery compartment requires removing two screws to access. I think a slide off cover like my other caliper has would be better.It doesn't seem to have an auto-on like my other caliper, but I'm neutral on that. I've always wondered if the kind of short battery life that one has is related to the auto-on function. On the other hand, it can be nice that you don't have to remember to turn it on.On the whole this is a good caliper and I don't think you would go wrong with it.
