First know this is a low profile toilet. That is exactly what I was looking for because our doctor recommended a lower seat to relive some pressure on the legs when sitting, and give you a better position for #2. The drawback is with a little lower seat it is a little harder to get back up.I like the whole rim flush and it is much easier to clean than the OEM toilet with the single flush point. The flush is a little different though and may take some getting used to. When I flush now I step lightly for a couple of seconds then give it the full flush. You will notice a more pressurized flow if you do this.Installation was super simple and only took about 20 min. The only tool I needed was a small channel lock plier. Disconnect the water line make sure you have a towel to catch any water when you do this. Remove two nuts that hold the toilet down and lift the old toilet into a trash bag. You should also fully clean the seals, then installing the new one is just the reverse.I also like the slow close seat because it doesn't ever slam like our old one did. I do keep the bathroom door closed until the seat is down because our kitties will frequently run in and jump to the toilet seat as soon as the door is opened,I would highly recommend this upgrade

I replaced my original Thedford with this Dometic 311. Based on all my research and nearly 5 years of using the Thedford I think I've landed in a good place. Simpler maintenance and I think superior functionality. I'm a fulltime RVer, and I'm looking forward to enjoying this upgrade. UPDATE: After a few days of using this toilet I completely understand the positive reviews it gets. It's truly superior to my old Thedford. Better quality flushing, more like a standard home toilet, it does appear to use less water and more efficient. I would not have known how much I wanted the slow close lid until I had it. I did not think I could be this happy about a new toilet...

Camper came with 300 that broke is ugly and uncomfortable. Bought the 311, came with broken cover for top, leaks from fill for bowl, continuously filling bowl and wasting precious water and bowl leaks continuously filling black tank and leaking odors! Domestic is the ktm of toilets! And customer service is even worse

Big difference from a plastic one, easier to keep clean, but I wish I would have ordered the high profile instead of the low profile, I am 5.2". So far so good but I have had it for only 3 months. I am rating it 4 stars because it's way overpriced.

The cover for the vacuum breaker was broken in shipment. Dometic promptly sent a replacement. This unit is quite similar to the Model 511 it replaced. Old mounting bolt slots (4) in the mounting ring did not align with the new bolt locations (2). Drilled the ring and used screw-down style bolts, which worked fine. The new plumbing connection is on the opposite side, so some additional plumbing adjustments were necessary. This was more difficult in my RV tiny room than mounting the toilet.All in all, a very nice replacement at a decent price.

Not your typical camper toilet feels a-lot safer and stronger when you’re sitting on it. Great replacement!!! Comes with install kit seal and bolts!!!!
