1st of the company that sells this should consider using someone other than fedex they are idiots. Our driver left the package on the bottom step in the rain. The package would have fit in mailbox of they could have went 3 more steps and placed it under the covered porch. 2nd i would avoid anything that is made by dometic. I replaced my thermostat with this one and seems to work as long as i do not place the face plate on the thermostat once i do put it on it automatically switches to heat and starts doing all kinds of off the wall stuff. Dometic does not care in any way shape of form as to the quality they sell. When this ac goes out i will replace it with any brand but dometic stay away from this piss poor company.

The product arrived in a pretty well crushed box. The product seems to be in good shape except that the clear outer screen window is all scratched up, I assume due to shipping. I will polish it up and it should be good as new, but still annoying I can’t just install it and forget it, so it loses a star.I have not installed it, yet. If it works as well as the original I’ll be happy, and I’m excited about the backlit screen.However, the product page states that the thermostat is programmable, which it is not. You cannot program it to turn on or off at certain times which I was very much looking forward to doing so it loses another star.Seeing the inside temp is a nice feature, but I don’t like that everything has to be off for it to work, minor inconvenience, but worth noting.Will update with any further issues after installation.

No installation and no maintenance instructions. Fortunately, I was replacing more-or-less in kind. Otherwise, this would have been useless. Also evidently they've had a number of purchasers try to return old controllers for refunds. There's a rather condescending note included in the package to that effect. Other than that, do not let your RV go a long time without AC as this controller will fail in extended humid conditions. It is simple to operate and responsive so I gave it 3 stars despite my apprehensions.
