The bit works excellent for shaping any soft wood. It is durable and cuts through pine easily. I used it to shape my kids pinewood derby cars and it made the process so much simpler this year.

I'm keeping this tool as it is super sharp and removes wood very quickly and I'm not finding something in between this and the cheap cutting tools that I keep sending back.

it's a good tool, it cut's nice and it's good if you often need to cut wood, but it's a little expensive for two things, the first thing is for example I don't use it a lot I bought it because I needed to make a school project and I haven't used it again, the other thing is if you need it a lot it starts to dull faster that I'd like, but in general it's good.

This made great small cuts in plexiglass panels that I was working on. It cuts that material easily with no melting or chipping.

I bought this to carve three small cedar bowls/trays using a rotary tool, and it worked perfectly. What I thought would take most of a day took only about an hour.

I've owned my Dremel for years and have frustratingly attempted to cut into chunks of wood for various small projects using the default cutting wheels. I really wish Dremel included this bit in the standard kits - would have saved me lots of time and frustration. Latest small project was working with my son in this year's pinewood derby car for cub scouts. After finding this bit after a random search through Dremel's accessories, I give this bit a shot and ordered... wow! Where have you been all my life?! It cuts through wood like butter and cuts like how you would imagine it should. Seriously, just get it (or least, get the similar-shaped non-carbide wood cutting wheel).
