If you've ever driven cement board screws into Hardie Backer Board then you know how difficult it is to get them started without the screw wobbling and the bit slipping out and jabbing you in the thumb. I learned this the very hard and painful way.After listening to my cursing and swearing for several hours my wife asked me, "Don't they make a tool or something that would hold the screw in place while you drill it in?"I stopped working and immediately hopped online and nearly instantly found this tool...In the same keystrokes I ordered two of them for next day delivery. The next morning after they showed up I put them to work. Eureka! The screws stayed in place while I drove them in. No more slipping, wobbling, or injured fingers.Best purchase I made all year!

Gift for daughter in law, grand daughter. Their fingers need protection when nailing.

I used for Simpson bracket nails. Will help start any shot nail. If you miss the nail, the tool will beakThe gods thing is that they are cheap and save your fingers. Buy an extra or two.

This product was well worth the money. I used it to repair some shingles on my shed. It saved my fingers more than once. An unexpected benefit was that it held the nail for me while I lifted a shingle to nail under it. Didn't crack when i hit it with the hammer. Easy to use! I regret not taking a pic.

I used this while putting up new Siding on my house. I saw a friend use it and it worked great for them but when I tried it, it just didn't work as well for me.

No more holding nails and screws with pliers, and having them fly away on the first blow or application of the screwdriver. As to durability, we will see. The shipping is somewhat slow for these days, but it is a specialty tool, so that might be the explanation. I think it's a great idea, and I'm always looking for a new tool that makes things easier and faster. This tool does that.
