I've been super impressed with dewalts hand tools lately. I'm a huge fan of their power tools but wasn't generally a brand I thought about for hand tools until I saw a great deal on a 300+ piece mechanics toolset with box. Bought that to have a portable set and it was so good I ended up giving away a lot of my older wrenches. Anyhow I hadn't bought a new slip wrench in a VERY long time and my old ones were starting to slip while you already had a grip on something. These feel worlds better but the comparison with a 20+ years old no namepliers is a but unfair. That said they are very smooth, build quality is awesome and they feel like they'll stand the test of time.

Seems like it'll work fine but I'm unhappy It is not as pictured. The grips are thicker and the steel handle does not have the same grooves and coating as pictured. The model number is the same so it might be just what they've switched over to all in all though it seems like a good pliers just slightly chunkier than I was looking for. I prefer the thinner profile that was pictured.

I decided I needed a good solid pliers. My other pliers seem to be picked up over the years here and there....You know HF quality, so I treated myself to an upgrade.Nice strong, solid 8" pliers
