I was drilling out the rivet holes to put rivnuts for the skid plate on my can-am utv. I went through a Milwaukee drill bit about every five holes. This drill bit was used to drill out about 25 holes and still counting. Will definitely buy again.

We use a step drill to drill out plasma cut holes in 16ga metal. We kept breaking standard 3/16" bits when trying to drill out these holes. We used a regular step drill for a while but at $30 a pop and they didn't last very long. This bit works great and lasts a long time. When it wears out the replacements are much cheaper! Will be buying other sizes as well. Really like these bits.

I was looking for a bit to penetrate through the toughest metal piece I've encountered. Nothing was working until I purchased this...with a little pressure it grinded right through! Very satisfied to finally finish the project thanks to this buy! Highly recommended.

I have only tried the 1/4" bit in 1/8" aluminum. Did not use lubricant. Cut true to size and left such minute burr on both sides that I didn't feel the need to debur. Very impressive bit. I wonder if there is a thickness limitation especially with steel. One reviewer said it wasn't good for that although they didn't say what size bit they were using.

I have a Matco set at work and a few sizes of these at home. The Matco bits outperform these in every single way. I’ll eventually replace these with some Matco ones.

Just Buy one bit, drill a hole in any wood, and you will get a clean entry and exit hole. (A full set is on my Santa list.) NO TEAROUT even without a backer board. I'm a woodworker, haven't tried it on metal. Go to you tube, Izzy Swan to see a demo of these style bits. AWESOME.

The tip of this bit broke clean off right where it goes straight. I used it in a jig that I drill a 1/2" hole through 1/4" plate. It did drill the holes a little faster, but ended up breaking after around 100 holes. With a decent "normal" drill bit I get 1000 or so holes before the bit dulls, and I've never had one break.
