I guess it would depend on the application but this stuff is way more flexible and easy to use than standard vinyl tubing. I bought it to attach to the nozzle of a pump on gallon-size bottle of bar and chain oil. I put a surgical plastic snap clamp on the end to stop drips when I'm done filling the saw. Works perfectly.

Used this tubing along with a m236 fitting to repair my Sleep Number bed saving me over $3000 dollars to purchase a new one. Part worked great.

My Cuisinart Coffee maker started to leak water whenever I made coffee. I pulled the plate off the bottom of the coffee maker and found the hoses from the water tank to the heater coil were split and leaking. I found this hose that a lot of the home brewers use to make beer at home. It listed as being food grade material and was a high temperature hose. It did fit the connections on the coffee maker and now no more leaks and works as good as new. The one thing I did not pay attention to was the thickness of the hose. 3/8" ID X 1/2" OD is correct, but the thickness is only 1/16" I needed at least 1/8" thick wall. You have to be careful because this tubing kinks easily had to make the hoses longer to avoid the kinking. Also the tubing is so light weight when the coffee maker brews coffee it is now very loud, sounds like it is going to explode. Hey but it works , cheaper than buying a new coffee maker.

The hose slides over a barb fitting easily. It is nice and flexible and holds up to high temperatures.

This tubing is very soft and flexible. make sure your clamps are for 1/2 inch OD tube. larger sizes won't work even if they screw down to 1/2 inch..
