I used this to control an electric fuel pump (temporarily) for my 1979 C10. I took the lead off the running/parking lights as the trigger wire, made up the battery connections, then ran the lead to the fuel pump. The insulation on the conductors is really nice and doesn't get super stiff in cold weather, which I appreciated. I also like that they give you a 30A fuse along with a 40A relay- others have mentioned that it seems strange, but I appreciate having 10A of "headroom" on the relay to make sure the fuse blows before the relay would ever get fried. While this is labeled as a relay for a fuse pump, there's no reason you couldn't use this for anything else- lighting, a high amp 12V outlet, small air compressor, etc.

Has all the parts to do the job. Includes the relay and a protection fuse. The wires seem long enough for most applications. I plan to use it to control something else but the gauge seems to be thick enough for a fuel pump application. Only nit is that the wire isn’t copper and the insulation is rather stiff.

Good quality relay. I'm using it to hook up my off-road lights (which are not even for off roading) from my high beams so those turn on at the same time. It's nice to have a kit that includes pretty much all you really need including an inline fuse.

I'm outfitting a new (to me) Class B RV camper van with several accessories. The switch panel I have won't handle much current, so I picked this up in hopes it would allow me to connect a larger device and still control it from a central location. The load wiring is all 10 AWG, which is more than sufficient for a 40A DC load. The included relay is marked as rated for 40A. Interesting that the included fuse is 30A, so you may need to pull a replacement from your box if you really need the full rated current.Having the relay connector already wired into the harness makes using this very simple - the package includes crimp insulated ring connectors for the wire ends. There is also a metal bracket to mount the relay securely and wire zip ties to secure a neat installation. The only downside is that all the wiring expects a chassis ground. That won't work with my fiberglass camper body, but running a separate 10 AWG black wire for the return is pretty simple.Whether you use this for its intended use as a replacement fuel pump relay or as a low current control for a higher current load, you will be pleased with the final result.

Its a bit pricey, but you are getting tinned copper wire in thick gauges. The insulation of the wire is flexible and the identification is printed clearly. The crimp connections are solid, and the connector itself is a substantial bit of plastic with good molding. The relay is a common part with a built in mounting bracket..The kit does come with all the parts you need to install the relay, including mounting hardware and zip ties. It is a very thoughtful and inclusive kit. I would like to see maybe 2 extra but splices included. One so you can shorten the fused wire if you like, and another just in case you made a mistake. This kit is obviously for people who don't do a lot of electrical and don't have all the terminations in stock. With that in mind, an extra terminal or but splice connector at this price point, won't break the seller's bank, and add a lot of value to the kit..If you need to install a relay, and don't want to source out all the bits to do it individually, this kit is for you.

Needed a fuel pump repay for my VW- directions included and solid working not much else to say. Pricing could be a bit less but happy with the product.
