I got this specifically for grinding coffee, not spices (so I haven't tested that side - not even for pepper corns).First, the blades are NOT what I would call "sharp", nor need they be for coffee grinding. Brute force does the job just fine. Speaking of "fine", it's entirely up to you as to how fine a grind you'll achieve. It's also one of two problems this design suffers from. You're going to need practice to get just the right grind for your machine and to your liking. My first attempt produced weak coffee, despite "looking" similar to a ground coffee I'm used to. My next attempt produced coffee a bit too strong. My take-away from those early attempts, however, was that you can get coarse to very fine grinds even with the dull blades... and that's a good thing when coffee is the ingredient.Be patient and take the time to learn what suits your taste best. Now for the second "problem". You CAN remove the grinder portion for cleaning. Twist the metal bin counter-clockwise, gently pushing down without squeezing the metal. Squeezing can bend the cup and complicate future use, but that's not the real issue for me so far. Though the clear top has a ridge to keep grinds inside the cup there's no barrier to form a seal... so fine grinds end up in the outer section anyway. I'm tempted to take a star away for this, but it's not THAT bad. Just know you'll have some extra cleanup.I'm considering inserting a kind of gasket (soft foam maybe? Food grade silicon would be great, if I can manage to find something that fits) to improve this. The power cord is short, but long enough for my needs - about 22 inches (55 cm) when stretched.

This is a very simple and basic coffee grinder that grinds coffee reliably and has a removable basket for cleaning. This is my 3rd small grinder, and although the settings on this are basic - meaning that you have to control the grind yourself instead of relying on the grinder to "select" the type of grind you want, that works for me just great. My first grinder was very much like this one but did not have the removable stainless grinder basket that is washable. To remove the stainless basket you just grab the stainless portion and twist counter-clockwise. The first time it's a bit stubborn/stiff but it comes out just fine. The bottom looks very much like my high-speed blender, with exactly the same type of design that fits into the base. The only thing I noticed about this is that when you remove the lid this grinder does make a bit of a mess by dropping grinds on the counter, and doesn't keep them all contained. It could be my fault by filling it too high, but it's not a big deal really. There are 2 fill lines inside that tell you how much to fill for grinding coffee and how much to fill when grinding spices.Overall I like this grinder and plan to use this in my guess house for making a nice espresso grind when I am there and when I expect guests. it's nice to have all the tools including a grinder if you have an espresso or an pour-over coffee maker. This has a nice firm and small footprint and the lid is easy to lift off. I like it and it will work well for my needs.

I have mixed feelings about this coffee grinder. It does the job but like all grinders that provide no other options to control the grind, it offers up an inconsistent grind of both coarse and fine coffee grounds. I can grind more or less but the consistency will always be mixed if not grinded long enough into a powder. That said, you can still grind and get a good cup of coffee using this grinder. I wasn't crazy about the lid. It's made of a very light plastic that is easy to scratch and something that I could see break if it fell to the floor. The button attached to it is made of the same cheap plastic which I think would really wear down after some time. Finally, the cord is very short on this puppy. It's probably a 1.5 feet long which limited me where I could grind in the kitchen. Overall, it's good but there are electrical coffee grinders out there that provide options to size of your coffee grounds and feel more robust that cost less. For that reason, this particular model could be a pass for me. It's more expensive but does less than the competition in my opinion.

This grinder works so good. I just got a new coffee that I wanted to try however, they only sell it in coffee beans and I was initially just going to pass on it and then I thought why not just get a coffee grinder like an adult, so that’s what I did however, I don’t know if I’ll be buying any other coffee and bean form so I didn’t wanna Invest a lot of money into a grinder. This one works perfectly in about four taps. I can grind my coffee beans to the desired thickness that I want them, and I also just realized I can grind up my peppercorns in there as well to add it to my shaker. Very happy with this very easy to use.

I've recently discovered I love iced coffee but it was getting crazy expensive buying it from a local stand everyday, so I set out to learn how to make my own. I ordered an ice coffee machine and then started experimenting with coffee. At first I was using pre-ground coffee but decided to get out of my box and try grinding my own to see if I could taste any difference. And yes I can and will never go back to pre-ground again. I wanted to grind at home vs using the machine at the store and thought I'd give this KIRAINAFLY grinder a try. I'm no connoisseur and no nothing about how fine ground or course ground affects flavor, but what I can say is this grinder is simple to use, grinds well for my needs and the removable stainless steel container makes it really easy to clean. I put enough beans in for a couple of servings, push the pulse button 4 or 5 times and, voila, freshly ground beans for my brew. My only complaint is the power cord is a little short so I'm limited where I can place it on my counter. Another 12" would have been ideal.
