I bought this for my son who wanted a train set of his own. I really wanted something easy enough for him to assemble by himself. I'm not trying to sound rude, but I have zero interest in sitting on the ground and putting together a train set. This couldn't be easier. It only took a couple of minutes to assemble and it looks great. It makes little train noises and looks like a real train, but tiny. I can't wait to see it going around and around the Christmas tree.

This is a beautiful train. It is sized right for my Christmas village. Some inaccuracies though, like it has gold coal and a red headlight. The steam function does not work on mine. Very disappointed with that. It's going back.UPDATE: I added hot tap water to the engine and a couple drops in the stack and it started working. The seller contacted me about my original review and was very cooperative, offering a refund. Since I got it working, I decided to keep it.

So far it works. That’s more than I can say for the last train. That’s also just about the only positive I can think of.The bad: There’s no button on the remote for a train horn. That might seem like a small complaint, but it’s really something that should be standard on an R/C train. The instructions are a bit confusing (English is clearly not the writer’s native tongue). There’s a button on the remote that I’m still unclear about its purpose (definitely not a horn though). The steam didn’t work the first time, then magically appeared when we started it up a couple hours later.Okay, I thought of some more positives. Did I mention it runs? Sadly, this might be the train for you if you don’t want to go through 2-3 other pieces of junk before finally finding something your kid can watch go around and around for 20 minutes (that’s actually a long time in 2-year-old time). The track doesn’t need the tiny bits it comes with unless you really want the added security. I was trying to avoid those because of the choking hazard they represent, so I was pleased when I was able to piece together the track without them. The remote is fine, but man do I wish one of the buttons was a horn!

This toy is great, our kids loved it. Best part is that it has a place for water and it will convert into steam, mimicking the real steam engine!!! That was a little education lesson too, the kids learned two different forms of H2O. It also let the kids use their wild imagination to build their own desired train tracks. Makes it a great toy and wonderful gift. Would definitely recommend to others!!

Bought for my son for christmas. Obviously I didn't take it all apart and set it up before christmas. Once we did we found out it doesn't work. My son is very disappointed and of course it's now outside the return window. So I'm stuck with a broken train and a sad 5 year old. Won't buy from them again.

There appears to be pieces missing from the engine smokestack as it won’t produce smoke as it’s supposed to.

I enjoyed the ease of putting together. Batteries go into the engine train and batteries also go into the remote. I like the fact that the train tracks can be configured to either oval, circle or square-ish. I can enjoy sounds or no sounds. "Smoke" or no smoke. Forward or reverse. All features worked effortlessly and the train was exactly as described and works like a charm. For the price that I paid, I couldn't be happier.

Bought this for my 5 year old grandson , he was so excited and is stil playing with it ,at first I thought it was small , but doing all the sounds and steam it does is just adorable 😊🚂

Just updating!! Steam works!! Took somewhere around hour and half to have the steam start working. Almost returned it. So updated rating. Only thing better is if it was metal. We love it though.Bought as a surprise for my 7 year old son and literally just set it up but so far won't steam. Added the water just as per instructions but nothing at all. Had lot's to do and my son loved it and had to leave and I promised him it would be all set up under the tree for when he returned. Now all my time out of lots to do is trying to figure out why the steam isn't working. Would up rating if I wasn't trying to figure this out. There is no problem solving hints anywhere on product sheets.

Un tren muy lindo, cuenta todas las funciones descritas, mi niño de 6 años lo ama y su control puede ir muy rápido a muy lento, la función de vapor está padrisima y puedes ponerle sonido o no. Recomendado.
