These fit my 4" grinder perfectly. I removed the lock nut then tried the spacer with different size rings, neither side of the size spacer fit. Then I discovered it doesn't need the spacer, with it removed it fits the shank perfect. Then put the spacer on top and then the nut, it centered and tightened as it should.I used this on the mating surface of an exhaust manifold that was really rusty. It made fast work of cleaning it up to shiny metal. The picture shows just the first pass, I went back over it and cleaned it up even further. I tried to use the flat surface of the disk so that I kept the mating surface as flat as possible. This disk will take the metal down so you need to be careful.After using this disk I saw no degradation of the material, it still looked new other than it was dirty.Great discs.

I really like strip discs, and this is a pretty good deal for six of them. If you haven't used them before, they make quick work of removing paint, rust or corrosion from metal without damaging it or scratching itI use them to prep for painting metal cabinets, or really on any metal. They tend to wear relatively fast, but they all do. You can probably get a couple projects out of these, but they're worth it, because they work so much better than wire wheels or sanding. Give them a try if you haven't yet, ever since I did, I get them all the time.
