I purchased this tie-out cable for my large dog, and I am very impressed with its quality and performance. The 100-foot length provides ample space for my dog to move around in the yard or during outdoor activities like camping and trips to the park. This heavy-duty cable is made of stainless steel wire with a 5mm diameter, ensuring durability and resistance to biting and wear. The PVC coating adds an extra layer of protection, making it corrosion-resistant, which is particularly important when using it outdoors. One of the standout features is the 304 stainless steel heavy-duty buckle with a 360° swivel. This prevents the cable from getting tangled, even with my dog’s energetic movements. The clasp is incredibly strong, withstanding up to 480 pounds of pulling force, which gives me peace of mind knowing the cable won't snap easily. It’s easy to attach the cable to a ground post or spiral stake thanks to the reinforced metal ring on both ends, which helps prevent wear and tear. The WATFOON dog tie-out cable has a tensile strength of 1000 pounds, and I have no doubt it will last for years without issue. I appreciate the added convenience of its portability and ease of storage, as it comes with a tote bag for easy carrying. It’s a fantastic solution for keeping my dog safe and secure while still allowing her the freedom to roam in the yard or on camping trips.Overall, this is a high-quality, reliable tie-out cable that I highly recommend for anyone with large dogs. It’s well worth the investment, especially for those with strong or active pets.

I am just shy of a year from having purchased this. This is by far one of the best tie out leashes I have ever used. I used this for a 130lbs Great Dane. Every other leash, tie out, cable, etc. I have tried did not last more than a month at a time, sometimes even less. There have been many times my dog ran passed her reach, and where most other leashes would snap at the sudden pull force, this one has held up beyond my expectation. I am very pleased with the quality. I inspect it regularly (she catches it on everything including rocks, stumps, and trees), and even with all the constant wear and tear and abuse it goes through every day, it still stands fully intact and unharmed. My Dane isn’t a serious and aggressive chewer, but she has chewed on it a good bit. She used to chew through other tie outs; this one doesn’t even have bite marks in it. The extra reinforced rivets on both ends have made a world of difference, too. I am very pleased and excited with how well this tie out has done and would recommend it to almost anyone. I will be replacing her leash soon, I must admit. I found a small crack in the cable coating (partly my fault as I caught it on something while working in the yard), and the cold weather will likely cut into that. We will see how long it lasts though. I don’t really have anything bad to say about it. I wish I could get the length I want in different colors, but that is no big deal for me. I’m just glad I found something that works and works well. Definitely a leash worth your time and money.

This is the only chain and clip combination that has worked for my rottweiler. It's very strong, and I love the twist locking clip. The cable is very thick, so even though it does get stuck in some areas of the deck, nowhere near as many little crevices as all the rest. He hardly ever gets tangled unless he weaves between trees. This was a lifesaver until we can get a fence up. Way better quality than all the Walmart cables by far.

My husky likes to be outside in the winter for hours on end, and sadly, I am anemic, and he is a husky (Haven't found a husky proof fence yet). He has had this lead for 2 years now, with a back clipping harness. Somehow, while tangled up, he managed to unscrew the lock on the latch, unclip it, and clip it onto his achilles he was in so much pain, and it took two of us to hold him down while the fire department cut off his harness and unclip it from his tendon. We couldn't do it ourselves and he was so tangled in the lead that we couldn't even take him to the vet. The wild thing is he wasn't impaled, no skin broken, wasn't even hurt. Once the gate was closed, he ran to pee on something. He hasn't had an issue in the 2 years he's used it, but it was a freak accident. My boy wasn't hurt because of the design. Today is the next day, he's happy and uninjured. I would recommend this to anyone, because despite the freak accident, he is uninjured and very angry that he's back on leash and it takes a minute for me to bundle up.

This was a great time out, until I had to put my dog down. Strong and heavy.

Nice and strong, paid $46 for a 25 foot at local pet store for the same thickness, would definitely buy again

This is a wire lead used in the backyard, not as a tie-out, and my dog can run unhindered with it. Cold weather contributed to the demise of my previous wire lead; it snapped. Time will tell, but this one sure does appear to be heavy duty.
