First time I've done this. Replaced original gaskets on a 2000 D16Y8 valve cover. Original gaskets were hardened and leaking oil. Replacement fit perfectly, although I created a couple of small tears in the spark plug seals when seating them with a slightly undersize socket (I didn't have one quite large enough). It is easy to seat them unevenly, and the shape of the seal means that part of it is quite thin and tears easily. Additionally, getting the lip of the seal over the tube during installation is difficult. I didn't quite manage it, but no oil is leaking into the tubes yet so I'm calling it good. I applied Permatex 82180 to the right-angle corners where it goes around camshaft.I used a vise to remove the old bolt seals and a couple of sockets to install the new ones.I would consider this job to be something an amateur can do, and if you do an imperfect job nothing important will break. I'm happy with the product, as the only negatives were due to user error and Honda's design.

I have been using gaskets from this brand for quite a while and they are good quality. In some applications it is important to not over torque them or gasket failure could occur, otherwise no issues to report.

Noticed a but of oil leaking so I bought this and it works well its the exact same fit for my 1998 honda civic ex. Works well I havent seem any oil leak since.

I typically chose OEM parts for my vehicle maintenance but the felpro vcg set was the right choice. At a fraction of the cost it's quality is up to par with oem. Also, can't beat Amazon price!! Don't bother going to the local auto parts store.

So I've never changed the head cover gasket on a car before. I went ahead and did so on my Honda Civic but I placed gasket seal too aggressively and in places you're not supposed too. Naturally the head cover started to leak after some time. I went ahead and purchased this to replace the cheap and badly installed one.

For my 2000 Civic with 435 000 kms ,1.6 liter .Fit no problem .no leaks .Changed the spark plug seals which were included in kit .Did my timing belt too ,also bought here at Amazon .Delivered on time as promised . Saved a whack of dough .Thanks Amazon !

My 98 civic si had a slight sweat around the valve cover so I was in a hunt to find a good product. I stumbled apon this and it fit perfectly. No trimming it squeezing everything slid right into place and stopped my leak, the hardest part was cleaning the head and cover of the old gasket
