This is a great deal. For $20.00 it made my wood stove fan work like new. I used this on my 2-blade Ecofan Model 812. I had to use the original motor mounting bracket that came with the fan. With the correct size Philips screwdriver it was easy.1 more thing, when installing the power generator there are 2 ways to install it. If your fan starts blowing backwards you will have to let it cool down and then turn the power generator up side down to make it blow in the right direction. I got lucky and mine blew correctly the first time.It would be a good idea to read all the reviews, they helped me make the best choice.I hope this will help Amazon customers

Replaced the motor and power generation sheet on the fan we set on the wood stove. Within five minutes of swapping it out, the blades were spinning. Easy to swap out. Best the fan has worked in 2 years.

This is my second season with this motor. I have an Ecofan and the original motor malfunctioned. That company would not sell a replacement motor and wanted to destroy the fan in order to give me a discount on a new overpriced fan. Such a waste! I found this and plugged it in as is. The fan works, only the blades spin backwards. I couldn’t disconnect the wires to hook up black to red. No problem! I just set the fan on my stove backwards. On the back corner of my stove, the blades turn fast. This is a great little motor. One star taken away for it working backwards on my fan…but it may work correctly on other brands of fans.

This was the recommended replacement for a Caframo Ecofan. It was different than the original but I installed it, and it worked great for about 6 hours and never worked again. Very disappointed because the original fan worked for 15+ years just fine.

Easy to install. I would have to throw the fan away without this kit. Has worked now 24/7 for 3 months last year and 2 months this year
