Teamaze has made a wonderful gadget. I have always had problems putting line on my reel- tangles, spool rolling around everywhere, troublekeeping proper tension. This little gadget proves that a device doesn't have to be expensive or complicated to do the best job. It is easy to put on your rod and to attach the spool of line. Then it only takes a few minutes to put the line on the reel. I now enjoy this once dreaded chore.

Normally I just get one of the kids to reel while I hold the spool for re-lining a reel. But I saw this handy, dandy Teamaze Fishing Line Spooler and had to try it out.Honestly, it's pretty much as they advertise. It's sturdy feeling plastic and should last a long while. There is only one spring and that should last too.It is super simple to use. Adjust the metal screws to release and go around the rod shaft, realign and tighten. Put the long plastic screw through the spool with the collar on the outside, adjust to appropriate firmness. Then start your spooling! So really, I can't complain about any of that. But at the current price, it's much more economical to just get one of the kids to crank while I hold the line spool...Also, if you have a larger spool, say over 4.5 inches in diameter (which I did, you can kind of see it in the pictures), it seems to be too big and will rub up on the main block. So, it can only do the normal size spools or the ones like the wider spool (as opposed to bigger diameter) in the pictures.Due to these 2 items, I gave it 4 stars.Fishing Line Spooling Tools for Spinning Reels and Casting Reels, Portable Fish Shape Adjustable Position Line Counter, Grey

This reel spoiler is super easy to use. Just load your line spool onto the tool and hand tighten the knob. Then clamp the tool to your rod between the reel and first eye and start reeling. The tool has rubber pads in it so it won’t scratch your rod or slide around. This makes spooling reels by yourself easy. It’s also small enough to fit in most tackle boxes.

Interesting little design but it’s just a plastic piece of garbage that lasted exactly one use and was a pain in the arse for most of that one use.

I thought it was missing parts but just mistaken. After quick response from the seller I looked again and parts were in place. Works great!

This product is very well-made with high-quality materials. For the price of under $12.00, It was easily the best choice for fishing line spoolers.

This is a really simple and easy to use tool that will help clean up the process of getting line on your reels. It does feel a bit cheap, but it isn't intended to do anything heavy-duty, so I don't expect it to break unless you try using it for something other than spooling line.In the past, I would usually just put the spool loose on the floor and let it roll freely while reeling in. That works fine, but sometimes the spool would get away from me and/or cause a tangle, and it was also pretty loud on the hardwood. Not great late at night or early in the morning when I'm usually prepping for fishing trips and other people are sleeping. My pets also got really excited thinking that they had a new toy, so I had to fight them off the whole time. This solves all of those admittedly minor problems. As you can see, there are two pieces. Attaching the mount to the rod and securing it is very simple. You just loosen and tighten the screws by hand. I didn't have any issues with slippage like another reviewer mentioned. Then, add the spool of line and screw into place. Tie your line to the reel and start reeling. Simple as that. The only thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to maintain enough tension to keep the line from getting out of control.I really like that this is small, lightweight and highly portable. There are plenty of makeshift spooler options around the house, but this is something that attaches to the pole itself, so it can be used anywhere. It's an easy addition to the packing list for most fishing trips. At the end of the day, this isn't life changing or anything, but it's definitely nice and convenient. If you fish enough that you would use this, then it's probably one of the cheapest pieces of gear you will own, so it's relatively easy to justify buying and I would recommend picking one up.
