This torch works as advertised and is easy to use. I put my propane bottle on a small dolley and roll it out to my fire pit. This torch makes starting a big fire super easy. It's light-weight and lights every time.

This really kills nasty weeds like desert broom here in Phoenix area that have grown to big to kill with weed spray. Be sure to read all the instructions even though its very easy to set up. I use it with the Flame King 3lb tank even though Flame King says to use a larger tank. The 3lb propane tank when full is fine for me. I think the 10lb tank would wear me out. I was able to do our large yard in one shot. The tank indicated it was empty just as I finished.Igniting the weed flamer is easy with the push button igniter. The flame can be adjusted with a knob that's near the handle. I found it's best to flame the weed near ground level to really kill it. Flaming it at it's highest point causes a lot of flame but may not fully kill the weed. It's a good idea if there are leaves near the weed to remove them before flaming as they will catch fire also.I'm rally glad I found this product.

I use this for weed control on a long gravel driveway. It's nigh-on impossible to keep from being overrun with little ground-hugging weeds. Step 1 is herbicide to kill the weeds, or the old-fashioned lay-out-a-tarp method. Once they are dead, you're unfortunately left with the problem of removing them. That's where this thing comes in. It's absolutely brilliant in incinerating the dead weeds, quickly and easily. I can make one pass, and process a patch that would take forever to pull manually, if at all (and that is counterproductive since it would also pull up packed driveway rocks, and also send me to the couch with the pack and knee pain from doing it!).The one fault in this use is that it really needs a cart or something to make toting the fuel easier. I use a big grill-sized canister, and that involved stopping, picking up and moving the whole canister as i move down the line, over and over. But that isnt a problem with the burner, just a limitation in how it can be used. On a whole, it's a great device.

I recently purchased the Flame King Propane Torch to help remove weeds from the cracks between the bricks in my backyard patio. Overall, it operates as described and is fairly straightforward to use. However, I was a little disappointed with how long it took to effectively remove the weeds—it required more time than I had anticipated. That being said, I appreciate the control it offers, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs in the winter when I plan to use it to remove snow from my steps. I think it could be a handy tool year-round, so while it didn’t completely exceed my expectations, I’m happy with the purchase so far.If you’re looking for a propane torch that does the job, just be prepared for a bit of patience with weed removal!

I really wanted to be eco friendly, so I started using a mixture of vinegar and salt to kill weeds that were growing in a gravel walkway. After almost two gallons of vinegar…no success. I moved on to buy roundup…no success. Although weeds would start dying after a couple of days, they would grow back bigger and stronger immediately after the next rainfall.I read several comments regarding these types of units. Some of them are pretty scary. I figured that buying a “flame thrower” from a Canadian company would probably be a lot safer. Some cheaper alternatives appear to shoot flames upwards. I don’t care if it is 1 unit out of a million that shoots flames upwards. I am not taking that risk. Don’t want to end up with 3rd degree burns to save 30$ or 50$.The unit works flawlessly and efficiently. My gravel walkway has never looked as good.My recommendation : make sure you trim the weeds as much as possible before torching them. You only need to roast the stems for a few seconds for them to die. I see videos of people burning large weeds and almost starting a fire. The bigger the weed, the more time and gas it takes to roast them.If you are doing this on a stone pathway or driveway, there is a risk that burning large weeds will stain (carbon deposit) your stones. Make sure you trim the weeds to the bare minimum and blow them away before torching your stone pathway or driveway. Most important of all, make sure you hose down the surrounding vegetation after torching your weeds.Enjoy and stay safe!
