This pick up tool works very well for me with it's strong magnet. I used it to pick up screws dropped below the car headlight assembly and used it's magnet to hold the bolt and then to start the bolts deep under the headlight. Once the bolt was started I could then use deep socket and extension to tighten the bolt.This pick up tool was also very flexible and sturdy so that I could insert it straight into the bolt hole under the headlight.

Saved me a plumber visit- I dropped a small screw driver in the shower drain that we don’t have access to underneath with doing small demo- I couldn’t even see the tool with a light - this thing pulled it out in 5 sec - good to have around

It grabs. It magnetizes. It lights up. I use it all the time with my butter fingers. The light is a very nice touch and I use it way more than I thought I would. It is a little bulky so don't expect it to get into super tight spaces. You'll still need to keep your magnet on a wire but this is a decent upgrade that does not hurt to have.

Great strong magnet. The steel coil is strong as well. I use this for doing walldrop cable runs. With a chain. Snatch it every time. Makes my job easier.

It has a rather big magnet to pickup heavier items, but the snake is not strong or stiff enough to keep it in position, just droops on holding the handle.Wish I knew this weakness and maybe I'd have selected lighter magnet?

If you need a good magnetic pick up tool then this is definitely worthy of consideration. You can probably assemble a make-shift magnetic tool but it would difficult to come up with something that comes near this design and build.If you have a workshop or garage, this tool will save you time in picking up dropped scores, bolts even wrenches. However, in using the tool you will need to be almost on top of the item to be able to pick it up. I managed to retrieve a AirTag that had dropped in wall cavity of our vehicle. It took some time and I had to shorten up by gripping on the flexible part.What I Like:- fairly strong magnet- long flexible extension at over 40 inches- handle is good to hold, has a screwdriver type handleNot As Well Liked:- for some pick ups the flexible shaft is too flexible and will not be able to direct to the right spotOverall, this is a really neat tool but it is on the high side on price but it is worthy for a look.What I like:- pulling force

This is one of those rare purchases where what you get is of significantly higher quality that the price would imply. Almost immediately after receiving delivery of this item, I was able to put it to good use. A bottle cap fell down the drain, open end down, and because the spring steel claws were very sharp they were able to grip the smooth hard plastic. The light worked very well! The action of the retractor spring is smooth and very strong making manipulation very easy. I wish I'd had this tool for retreiving all the nuts and bolts dropped into dark recesses while working on my vehicles' engines over the years. I almost look forward to the next time I drop something.I recommend this item unreservedly!
