I recently purchased the FoxAlien Masuter 3S CNC machine, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. From the moment it arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. The packaging was super well done, ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition.Assembly was a breeze—it only took me about 40 minutes from unboxing to powering it on. This machine is a significant upgrade from the Masuter 3, with a more robust build that feels incredibly solid. One of the first things I noticed was how ridiculously quiet it is when moving across all axes, which is a huge plus when working in a shared space.The controller box is a bit larger than I expected, but it’s well-organized and easy to navigate. The Nema 23 motors are another highlight—they’re fast, strong, and make the cutting process smooth and efficient.The FoxAlien community is also fantastic. Their Facebook group is packed with helpful tips and support, making it easy to find solutions to any issues that arise.The only thing I wish it came with was an ER11 1/4†collet and some 1/4†end mills, but it does include some 1/8†v-bits to get you started.Overall, I highly recommend the FoxAlien Masuter 3S to anyone looking for a reliable, powerful, and easy-to-use CNC machine!

Over all pretty impressed. I had some things fail a stepper motor and a spindleThey replaced the parts quite easily there customer service was fantastic. Yes it took 24 hours to get a responses but they always handled everything in a professional manner as long as you stay patient because of the time and distance. I would rate this Chinese company way above average . The unit works quite well. One thing I did realise is there is a trial and error period with these things, the trick is to go slow and take less depth per pass , buy high quality bits and use them for there purpose and take multiple detail and roughing passes, most importantly I found also that replacement of the x y axis belts with a high quality belt was quite imperative . It is a 15 dollar amazon purchase for the belt and we'll worth the time and effort to do so.. I have had zero errors and slippage since.

Great Machine, and Great company. They will go above and beyond to make sure that their customers are takin care of. Also, they need to give Joe a raise. He did everything he could to help me with a situation that was going on. I highly recommend any Fox Alien Product!

I'm new to the CNC world so my review shouldn't really count. So far I have figured out how to make it work and do some cutting with it. Learning the software is a huge learning curve for me because there's so many different software that you can design with. I do think I picked a good machine to learn on.

This CNC is really good for a home-level machine. I have another desktop CNC in the same price range that I've been using for the last few months and this one matches it in performance without breaking a sweat. I wouldn't say that it beats it outright, but it's pretty similar in performance. I'm considering keeping this one as-is and not upgrading the spindle to use it as an engraving machine while my Genmitsu with a Makita router does the heavy cuts, simply because the included spindle is much more quiet. Most of my bits are 1/4" shank though, so I'll probably get the makita router eventually.Pros:-The fit and finish is very nice. I like the custom look of the build rather than being built out of extruded aluminum rails.-The actual usable bed size of this machine is slightly larger than competitors, due to the position of the spindle on the gantry.-All brackets are included to upgrade the spindle to a Makita RT0701C Router.-Assembly was very easy, I timed 60 minutes exactly from cutting the box to running my first homing command. This also included refilling my coffee cup during assembly lol-Quite rigid for a desktop machine. I haven't truly run it through it's paces on very hard woods yet, but it cuts through MDF like butter at high speeds.-Runs on UGS rather than a proprietary software. It's nice to not have to swap software when running both machines, and I'm a big fan of open source. This does come with all of UGS's quirks though, so maybe a custom software would be less intimidating for beginners.Cons:-The included bits could have been better, a little variety would have been nice. Having a bunch of 1/8 shank engraving bits is only going to go so far.-The spoilboard is MDF with sunken thread inserts, I prefer aluminum extrusions for ease of using T-slot nuts for workholding flexibility. Most of my jobs are held down with CA glue and painters tape though so this isn't a huge deal.-I would have liked to see a dust collection boot shipped with the kit.I will be running more challenging projects through this cnc eventually, I will update this review if any negatives arise. It seems to be very capable, however.

Easy to put together and some good videos on Utube. Only used it a couple of times but the reason for four stars is they have a lot better deal on their home page. I think it should have been offered on Amazon

When I put it together iodide not work right, one motor was running fast and the other motor was hardly running at all and they were running in different directions causing the x carriage to twist and bind up, fox alien told me to reset the dip switches and they still would not work correctly. The dip switches are made of a cheap plastic and two of thiem broke when I tried to change thiem

First time cnc user and am I am pleased with both the machine and ongoing support. Set up was easy and on line tutorials are abundant. Any issues were quickly addressed through the support team and response time was great.
