Normally all rye grass that I have purchased, germinates very easy & quickly. I spread this seed over 1 month ago & to this date nothing has germinated. Buyer beware.

If you buy this grass seed it will grow! I did nothing special but cleaned area threw some seed down and watered. It has grown every time! I reseeded my front yard also! Filled all the empty /sparse areas. This is great for quality, cost and a nice color! Easy to use as i said and performance is absolutely amazing!

This was my first attempt at growing grass. I had a wheelchair ramp taken down and needed to cover the dirt, i just dug up the soil a little bit removed the big chunks of dirt and threw down the seed, I watered it daily and within 2 weeks it started to sprout and its growing really fast!

This, in my yard, in that area - did well.I think it's a bit pricey. However, to continue to spread fescue that will not take or do well - it not a better, cheaper way to go.I had germination in this October '23 month in the NE with "fuzzy green" within five days. I did back up water/dampen the patches (some large). My experience with Perennial Rye is - this was a good batch and to hope for, expect a better result now and next year.I had a more extensive "grub" and "mole cricket" issue this year, and a surprise to me since do maintain my yard - knowledgeably - well, I think so. Anyway, meaning, don't blame the brown patches on the "seed" prior to having a look for cricket holes and digging down careful 2, then 4 inches a square foot patch, and/or lift the brown matte there now - first. Then if see this, treat it first then back fill the dirt. So, I hope that helps someone. Again, the feel the price is a bit much, but, what can one do if want grass and not field-veg.
