I lined slide rails (drag rails, really) of old metal drawers and they finally glide easily. Should have done this ages ago. Do consider thickness of tape sacrafices that much top clearance of top drawer. I have room to use one thickness, which works perfectly fine. But if I had the space I'd use two strips per side, on the rail and drawer, assuming that would give an even easier slide. Just a thunk.

I bought this slippery tape to go on the bottom of an old kitchen drawer that has no metal slides. I had used another tape a few years ago and that had worn, so this was a replacement by a different company. I purchased the 1/2" size as it was the closest to the width of the edges on the drawer.I had a struggle getting the blue protective coating separated from the sticky side of the tape. Once I did it, I put the exposed adhesive side to the wood and slowly pressed down on the tape, and pulled the blue cover back - only exposing small areas at a time and pressing down on the tape to the wood. This technique worked well and allowed me to adjust the placement ever so slightly as needed. The tape was not as thick as the tape it replaced, but that actually worked out quite well. The slipperiness of it was great, and the adhesion to the wood was better than expected. I don't think it'll be coming off any time soon!Once I put tape on both sides of the bottom of the drawer and across the front of the area that was rubbing on those areas I was able to get a fairly smooth glide. Much improved from what it had been and saving the drawer bottom from more unnecessary wear. This product is a good one for older homes with drawers like my kitchen. It's easy to apply once the blue cover film is removed, but that part is VERY frustrating and it will take patience to get to the great adhesive side of this tape.

I needed something to put on my refrigerator drawers because the plastic on plastic didn't let drawer slide easily. Once I applied tape to rail, slide easy.

I bought this product because I have been remodeling our kitchen, which includes very old wooden kitchen drawers that were incredibly "sticky" to operate and didn't open smoothly. This product is easy to use and solved the problem; the drawers now slide very smoothly and open easily. It's a little tricky to separate the "liner" from the tape; just takes some patience. I found that it helps to "pinch" the tape, until you get a small separation between the tape and liner. Then a fingernail works. Measure your drawer slides accurately; a little narrower worked well for my project. It's like having brand new drawers!

if there is a negative to this product then its how thin it is and only time will tell how this will effect my applications.

I tried this on my utility sled, making four trips to the leaf pile after raking and it tore when I mistakenly ran over a small rock in the ground. On the next trip to the leaf pile another strip tore. Two strips are still intact. Also, I'm disappointed in the adhesive. It's not crazy-sticky like I had hoped.Hopefully it will come in handy for something but I'm not impressed with the durability after handling it.

I needed this to make a slide pad to slide a new built in fridge into my elevator opening in my home I just built where there was only 1/4” clearance through door. Worked very. Stayed stuck on my slide board beautifully. I’m sure I will find many more uses.
