About this item

  • GOJAWAY backpacking trowel: Multifunctional 7 In 1 mini spade can be used as a shovel, a saw, a ruler, a nail extractor, a hex wrench, a bottle opener, and it comes with a 79-inch rope; We also prepared a carry sheath that can hang on your belt;
  • Durable and sturdy shovel: Our product is made of high hardness stainless steel, this material will not easily rust or corrode in outdoor environments, (We still recommend wiping away water and mud after use, it can help to extend its use-life);
  • Lightweight Hiking Shovel: This compact, light-duty trowel is helpful to ultralight backpackers; This shovel is only 0.44 pounds but it is strong enough to dig through rocky or compacted ground. Ideal for camping, hunting, fishing, adventuring, backpacking and outdoor activities;
  • Versatile Gardening Trowel: This trowel’s serrated edge cuts small roots while digging; Its one-piece design prevents bending or breaking; It is easy on the hand and makes gardening much easier;
  • Portable and comfortable to use: the handle of the small shovel is wrapped with the nylon rope which can increase friction during gripping, and the handle is hollow, allowing you to insert a suitable stick to extend its length for more effortless use;

I got this to use in my garden but also to take with me on hiking trips. It is lightweight and I like the way it folds and fits so nicely in the carrying case that came with it. It is very strong and has all the features described. Is very easy to travel with. Very good item to use for camping too. Highly recommend because it is made out of a strong metal and versatile.

This trowel is made of some pretty thin metal, but that keeps it light weight. I have tested it by attempting to bend or flex it a few different ways, and it held up fine. I quite like the shape of this particular trowel more than another one I own, although the other one is thicker, heavier, and seems to be made of nicer steel.I removed the cordage from the handle because I wanted to try mounting it on a broom handle, but the handle doesn't have any taper to it, so the broomstick was able to slide all the way through easily. I may try to bend the metal inwards a bit to see if I can get it fitting snug because I would prefer not to secure a handle with screws, but rather friction alone.I prefer this one to my other trowel just because it is noticeably lighter so will be less of a burden to carry. Not every tool needs to be built to endure a life time of hard work. Sometimes it just needs to be tough enough to dig a small hole on occasion. I like it, for the most part.

I appreciate tools that serve a multiple number of jobs, which this backpacking trowel offers. I plan to use this trowel more for gardening though, rather than backpacking.I keep all of my gardening tools in an older mailbox, so space is a premium. So with this trowel, I will be able to plant seeds, plant seedlings, place fertilizer around the base of my plants, and even dig them up at the end of the growing season. So for one smaller tool, this will serve many purposes, which is why I was pleased to place my order.

So this is a decent little trail with some cute little tools however it’s more of a light duty item. I would not trust this in a situation of life or death, but at a campfire on a general camping trip, it would serve its purpose. The rope is fair. It’s not paracord but for hanging up food or what have you it does the job. I would keep this in the car as a last ditch effort. get it. It’s perfect for doing around the house or yard project and if you need a little bit of a extra tool here there it might work.

This trowel is trying to be many different things: a shovel, a trowel, a wrench, a ruler, a saw, a spear. I get it - there is a backpacking ethos of “every item in a pack needs to fulfill at least two functions and the more the better.”As is, it is a fine and very versatile tool for one’s camping kit. Does great as a replacement to my standard 30+ years-old garden trowel that I’ve been carrying around. in my pack. Great quality materials and great quality manufacturing. No problems or concerns. Comes in a lightweight hook-n-loop closable nylon carrying case. Recommended!
