Ergonomics handle

I wanted this trowel to replace my cheap, plastic one. I like its lightweight, metal construction. Perfect for hiking/backpacking. It does have one flaw, but it can be remedied. The manufacturer even mentions it on the product page, which I find helpful but odd. The handle is uncomfortable to use; the edges dig into the hand. If you need to use it for anything other than lightly digging a small hole for bodily waste on an above-freezing day, you will probably want to wrap paracord around the handle to prevent injury. Knowing the company is aware of this issue, I don't understand why it doesn't include paracord in the order. Some consider it another essential item for backpacking; it would kill two birds with one stone. Plus, it's honestly overpriced for what it is. Providing the paracord would be a nice touch. With that said, this is a great lightweight trowel overall, and I look forward to taking it on camping/hiking trips.

Really lightweight, just right for my day hike bag. It's not a big trowel but it's very sturdy & does the job. Looks like it should last a nice long time.

This is a really cool option to stow in your Pack. I have mine wrapped around my stainless water bottle so this takes very little space. It’s lightweight aluminum too, so you’ll not even notice it’s there, until you need it. It’s great to trawl a nice gutter around your tent for water diversion…and an occasional hole for whatever you need it for. Like I said it’s compact, so you are limited to its size. Just keep that in mind. Overall a great option.

Use case: long distance backpacking.Pros: ultra light weight, very strong all metal, tooth edge is great for digging tent rain trenches in rooty soil.10/10 would buy again if it broke, but I doubt it ever will. Obviously a shovel to bury your poop is necessary, and at some point you’ll probably need it to dig tent rain trenches.

Love this trowel. Strong, light and works well. I just wrapped some paracord around the handle to make it a bit more comfortable to grip. I would recommend this.
