I got this to mount as the high-mount 3rd brake light on the Astro truck bed shell on my 2002 F-150 Lariat. I saw reviews about water getting into the light so I sealed the edges with silicone sealant where the back and the clear parts were placed together. The openings for the power wires were a little bigger than the wires, so I covered that point with sealant as well. The wires were plenty long to replace the brake light that had burned out, and fit perfectly into the recessed part of an air fin mounted on top & back of the bed shell. No issues with connecting it up to the existing connectors and worked perfectly when pressing on the brake pedal. So far so good and like the new looking light. Recommend as long as you apply silicone sealant around the edges and the wire entry point first.

Easy install and is bright -had to replace due to hail damage and this fit the bill perfectly on my Leer shell.

The pictures show more than I can explain, but I tried to install it anyways and the circuit board sits way to high and presses into the cab and gets pushed in when you try to tighten the light down. Once I got it to finally “pop†in there was still huge gaps all the way around and visible gaps between the gasket a mounting surface.Poorly built, the only thing it has going for it is the look but according to other reviews it leaks water inside the lense as well. DO NOT BUY IT

I too had issues with the light bulb socket. They were also not certified sized socket. The light bulb were not fitting properly had to make some adjustments like a previous customer review.

Fit prefect and was way better than what was on my truck. The light was sealed and the gasket was a full piece of neoprene.

Over all, I like the look of it and is bright as well as stylish. Install was suppose to be easy but one side would screw in while the other side was slightly off. After working with it for about an hour I finally was able to get it to screw down. Although that part accomplished I drove through a car wash and it leaked like a waterfall. I had no choice but to silicone the top and sides cause I had nothing else to replace it with while returning it.

So first off I didn’t come with any instructions or even a marked or branded box 🚩 and immediately upon attempt of install stuff wasn’t lining up. Long story short have a drill handy with a stepper bit because you’ll be having to make the holes bigger that the alignment pins slide into because they are too close together to line up with the holes in the cab. If it wouldn’t have took 45 minutes to install it would have gotten more stars. And it also had a chip on the lense so I’m not gonna be surprised if it doesn’t start showing moisture on the inside.
