This anti-slip tape is perfect for resurfacing gym equipment that requires grippy surfaces, such as slant boards. The old rubber grip on my board tore off, yet the board was still in good shape. This tape extended the life of this slant board.I ordered the 6-inch wide tape to help cover as much surface as possible. The roll is pretty heavy and is similar in texture to sandpaper. The backing on the tape is extremely sticky. When you put it down, make sure to lay it down a little at a time and evenly to prevent bubbles and wrinkles. Once it's down, it's not going to come off easily.

This is very gritty, and holds well. I have only tried it out for a bit, but it seems like it will wear well, and I think that it will stay adhered. It has that feel of something that bonds even better over time. If you have used some various adhesive tape and stuff in the past, you know what I mean. It has a bit of a soft adhesive that gets harder to take off the longer you put pressure on it, and the longer it is on.

Used this for my bike pedals. I like it overall. The grip is definitely there, but despite cleaning the surface with alcohol before applying this, the adhesive on the other side of the tape seems lacking. Still decent. Would probably work better on a flatter surface. Note the tape does NOT stock to its own rough side, so if you're applying it to a round surface, make sure to trim it to size first.

Obtained this to have a roll on hand for random length projects versus alternates that come in fixed size sheets that can create waste.I have used anti-slip on the treads of a vintage two-step that I repainted to add grip. One of my favorite uses was on the back of a 10 inch (electronic) tablet because: I thought the glass back was just too slippery to hold, 10 inches is too wide to grasp across the edges (versus smartphone), and placing your gripping thumb on the front triggers unwanted actions with the touch screen. Actually first added a 3rd party rubber boot / case, but that still didn't provide the sure grip I wanted. So I added anti-slip tape strips to the back of the case. It now sits confidently in the palm of my hand and doesn't slip around on my lap when I set it down. See picture.Specifically for this tape, I have four observations. It is described as 80 grit so I got out a sheet of my 80 grit sandpaper for comparison. The granule size was comparable, but the sandpaper's aluminum oxide had a more distinctive sharpness that caught better as I dragged my finger across. The description says tape's granules are also aluminum oxide. Perhaps the bonding agent or the black color coating causes a slight slip across its grip. The tape body is thin and the adhesive is strong which proved a challenge to stick a fingernail between it and the peel-away paper backing to separate them. For the second peel, I resorted to applying a piece of very sticky tape to the paper which helped the separation. It would work better if the backing paper was scored down the length's center -- as with some other tapes -- so that it creates a loose edge when folded lengthwise. The strong waterproof adhesive will keep the tape in place, but TBD if the adhesive softens and slips in high heat (Phoenix sunshine) situations noting the tape is black. The thinness of the tape body has an upside that it could wrap around contours. I am thinking of wrapping it on a pool brush pole at the telescoping collar to help gripping when wet. The downside is I don't know how the thin tape wears over time under repeated foot traffic. The tape's description and packaging stresses how it is from a small USA company, but the add-on UPC label reveals it is designed in USA but made in China -- along with most everything else.

Tis stuff is like sandpaper for your steps. I've had other stuff that's smoother but provides some grip. Not this. This stuff is the real deal. I didn't use it outdoors so I can't say how well it holds up to rain and snow. However it grips just fine on my basement stairs.

I used this non slip tape on a man lift. The floor of the lift was dimpled to provide traction but did little if it was wet.I applied strips of this 6" wide tape across the entire floor with a couple of inches between them. The tape went down perfectly. The adhesive material stuck to the painted floor very well. The backing peels off easily and the tape lies flat without curling during application.I would buy again!

I put this on some exterior stairs and it has made a world of difference. I should have gotten this sooner.

I have a short flight of stone steps to my front door. In winter and when it rains heavily, they become dangerously slick.I've applied this anti-slip tape and it's already improved the footing. I feel more secure going both up and down.My only question — and the only reason I've given the product 4 stars — is how long it will adhere to the slightly uneven stone surface of my stairs. I'll come back and edit this review after I've had it in place for a few months.
