The tube does not fit into the f hole/ sound box, which is how it's supposed to be used, and I'm not sure how the piece of cardboard it came with is supposed to detect humidity.

This is too thick for some violin openings, probably ok for viola. Also, there are holes in the tube all the way down to the tip, so water can easily drain out the tip when it’s held vertically, causing water damage to the instrument. Most other brands have no holes in the last inch or two.

It just does not humidify defying the very purpose. I finally tried the card and string in a closed container and the card still did not change color at all. What a joke.

I am a viola/violin collector and I tried this product to get an alternative to Dampit (no stock sometimes!), there is no comparison - It tends to get stiff (it's odd for a rubber-like material), does not absorb as well as Dampit, it's a challenge to put in smaller f-holes, and the way it bends I can tell it's not gonna last long. I would return this product but since I have this review posted, I will keep it so I have the proof in my hands. I currently have about a dozen Dampits and I switch them around in my collection.

Good quality. I have had the cello version for ages but sadly this good quality version for the violin and viola was too big for the violin.

gute Qualität, als zweite geige feuchter, diese ist deutlich besser als erster billiger Feuchter. Es funktioniert mindestens ein Tag mehr. Und es ist besser für 3/4 geige 🎻.
